Bankai? (Open to Hirato and Tenshin) Empty Bankai? (Open to Hirato and Tenshin)

It was a bright sunny day in the seireitei. Everything was in order, no chaos, and no confusion, just peace. Hirato rubbed his eyes as he slowly got out of his bed. He looked around at his boring dorm room. He had recently moved in, being a newer lieutenant, and just hadn’t quite been able to make it seem like home. The walls were empty blank sheets of drywall that served no other purpose then keeping the weather, and unwanted visitors out. His bed took up half of the length of the room, and was tucked over to one side. His desk was at the end of his bed, cluttered with paperwork that Hirato had still neglected to do. There was one window in this room. It overlooked the currently empty 7th squad training grounds. This window was directly across form his desk, and just to the left of his closet. Hirato stood up. Just by looking out the window he figured that it was almost noon, and he had already overslept by two hours. He got up and threw on his boring black uniform. He decided to go barefoot, as shoes often felt uncomfortable to him. His door creaked open as he walked out, sounding the same way that Hirato felt, tired.

As he started walking out of the maze that was the 7th squad barracks, his mood started to elevate. As if he had already forgotten his objective, his mind began to wander. The first thing to come to his mind were the Hell Butterflies. “What strange ways of communication we shinigami have," he thought. “Why don't we find a way to talk to one another that doesn’t require travel time.” He made a right, then a left, and was finally out of the barracks. He threw the bid double door open, trying hard to make a scene as he left. It seemed as if he was in the heart of the seireitei. He could sense shinigami all around him; the whole area had a “busy” vibe to it. As he walked on and on, he started to realize that the placement of his Zanpaktou was slightly annoying to him. Being short, his Zanpaktou would drag along the ground unless he stood upright with perfect posture. He fidgeted with the placement of the blades, trying to fix the problem. First he tried moving his belt higher. It sorta’ worked as the Zanpaktou no longer dragged along the ground, but having a bel that high up was uncomfortable and restrictive. He tried a variety of positions, but couldn’t get anything to fit just right. He then thought of just having his Zanpaktou permanently released. Ryuu Doku was sure smaller when released, but Hirato couldn’t think of a place to put them. He considered his pockets briefly, but thought that if a battle were to occur, it would be hard to reach, grab, and grip his shikai without giving his opponent a chance of attack. “If only there was another release to my Zanpaktou.” After thinking of how cool it would be to have two releases he realized that every shinigami had the ability to do just that. He knew at this point that he wanted to unlock his bankai.

Unfortunately, he had no idea how to do just that. He was able to materialize his zanpaktou, but didn’t even know that was part of the bankai training. He decided that he was going to have to get some help. The only person he knew that had bankai was his captain, Tenshin Kaminaka. He sprinted back to the 7th squad barracks, hoping that Tenshin was in his office. The white walls of the seireitei started to blue together as he dashed on top of them, not having time to follow the ground path. He burst through the doors to the barracks and made a right. He followed the hallway until he arrived at the door that belonged to his captain. He completely forgot for the moment that his captain was a tranquil and calm man. Before he could stop himself he burst through the door into the office and said aloud.

Captain, sir, could you... um, please explain how I can achieve.. Hirato stuttered for a split second, not remembering the word he needed. Bankai! That's it.

OOC: I'm kinda new at this and am not 100% certain how topics like this work. If I somehow completely got this wrong, could somebody point me in the right direction.
