Dōseiai the 7th division 3rd seat W.I.P

Post by Halos on Mon Dec 27, 2010 12:34 am

Basic Information

Name: Dōseiai

Age: Appeared: 18; Actual: 150

Gender: Male

Division: 7th division

Seat: Third

Looks: Dōseiai has long, straight, layered hair. The top most layers are dyed pure white while the bottom layers are pure black. The hair has little to no volume everywhere but the back where it is spiked directly backward form his neck. In the front, there is a bang that partially covers his left eye and another one that goes down at a perfect slant in-between his eye. The rest of his hair almost always covers his right eye. Long strings of hair flow down to his midsection from the sides. This hair is not natural whatsoever as Dōseiai spends hours styling it every day.

He strives to maintain perfect physical form. If his cloths were to be removed one would only see muscle. You wouldn’t expect this seeing him in person, but he has an eight pack and biceps you could crack clams between. He is roughly 5’10”, but seems smaller at first sight.

As an act of permanent rebellion, he refuses to wear the standard shinigami uniform. Instead, he wears black skinny jeans, a belt and tight t-shirt underneath a tattered gray robe. Three leather belt-like rings that go around his stomach hold this robe together. There is a tear on the left sleeve and the sleeves droop down near the hand, much like a cloak would. He doesn’t carry his zanpaktou on his belt, but always swings it over his shoulder and holds it there.

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

Personality: Dōseiai doesn’t have much of a personality of his own. He is the kind of person who will rebel against conformity for no apparent reason, even though he works and lives for the establishment. He wont challenge the Gotei 13 as whole, but will constantly complain and argue about stupid little quirks of it (such as the uniform). He tries to act deep and sullen when first meeting people, but if you catch him off guard you will quickly notice that he is a very happy shallow individual. Similarly, he tries to be a pessimist, but honestly believes that everything will work out in the end. Essentially he tries to act more depressed then he actually is. He however does a bad job at this to the point where everyone can tell that it is all an act.

He also loves to argue even when he knows that he is wrong. He thinks that debate is the best way to ensure an active mind. To “keep his mind active” he will constantly contradict his superiors in hopes of starting an argument. This annoys most people, leading him to only make friends with others who like debate.

Zanpakuto Information

Zanpakuto Name: Shokushu Gōkan

Zanpaktou Theme: Tentacles

Unreleased Zankpaktou Appearance It is a normal washibaki. It used to be a completely normal blade in every which way, but Dōseiai decided to change the appearance. The sheath is now black and shaped in a somewhat Gothic fashion. (it’s the blade held by him in his appearance picture.) He has purposely torn bandages loosely wraped around the end of the hilt, and many strings that attack the hilt to his robe.

Zanpakuto Release Phrase: Grab hold Shokushu Gōkan

Released Zanpakuto Looks: He drops his unreleased zanpaktou to the ground. Rather then hitting the ground it appears to fall into it as if the ground was suddenly water. Less then a second after the Zanpaktou fully disappears, eight giant tendril like tentacles burst out of the ground. They are around fifteen fight tall and 1.5ft in diameter. They can each explode into twenty different tentacles each that are the same height, but only have a one inch diameter. Around his left hand there is a silver bracer with eight small holes going around it. Tentacles can grow out of these holes. They have a 1 inch diameter and can extend twenty feet. All of the previously mentioned tentacles do not have suction-cups like cephalopods.

Released Zanpaktou Abilities: His Zanpaktou consists of eight tentacles. They are around ten tall and 6” in diameter. They can each explode into six different tentacles each that are the same height, but only have a one inch diameter. Even though their apparent height is fifteen feet, they can extend at will, however as they do so they become thinner(they do not grow outward, rather stretch) this means that they have a reach of fifty feet each, but are only an inch or so thick when at that legnth. Dōseiai can also grow tentacles out of the bracer on his left hand. They have a three inch diameter are and ten feet long. They can stretch up to thirty feet long, but are only one inch thick while doing so. Their tips are pointed, allowing them to pierce through most substances.

Zanpakuto Spirit: Rasshu Kaesu’s spirit is that of a giant sprit wolf. He has long blue fur with white tips that is spiked out and white almost like a main near the neck. The main then turns into a giant black mowhawk-like thing that follows down the back of the wolf. This then turns into the tail, which remains black but has a couple aurora colored flares that fly out of it. At each of the wolfs joints there are a few crystal looking spikes jutting out backwards.

Zanpakuto Realm: His realm is just a simple grassy plane. There are a few hills in the background, but they aren’t anything special.

History and RP Sample

Life Arc:
Dōseiai was born on 3/21/1981. As a child he was always an angel. He would do exactly as his parents told him, and made sure to do well in school. He got straight A’s on every report card all the way up through elementary school. This was not because he was smart, but rather because he spent tons of time every night doing homework and studying for tests and quizzes. He went to a nice private elementary school, and most of what he wanted to do revolved around getting into the best private high school available to him. That I what his parents expected, and why he worked.

His parents never allowed him to have a life. They would helicopter over him wherever he went. Due to this, he never really made any real friends, just kids who were intimidated by his parents. Fortunately for Dōseiai, he didn’t know any better and was therefore didn’t know that there was anything better then what he had. He had a nice house plenty of toys, and was anything but poor. And as far as he knew, he had everything. It wasn’t until later that he realized that the one thing he didn’t have, is the one thing he wanted most.

It wasn’t until his sophomore year in high school that he finally took the fist steps towards living his own life. He went to a boarding school, and was just getting ready to go to sleep. He was in his dorm room. It was small, about 8 by 16 feet. It had a balcony that hung over one of the central lawns. Underneath him there were the English, History and Japanese classrooms. To the west of his dorm there was the dining hall and to the east there were more dorm rooms. He went out on his balcony to get some fresh air, when he noticed a couple of kids gathered together in a circle on the lawn. They seemed to be having a good time and Dōseiai was intrigued as to what they were doing. “Come on down here,” someone down there yelled to him. Not wanting to be rude he went down. When he got nearby he noticed a strange smell emanating from the area. One person was smoking something that smelled different from any tobacco he had ever smelled before. There were three people in total there, a skinny man, around 18 with bright blue hair, a boy with naturally straight hair that was brown with highlights, a small Asian girl and a chubby boy who had long blond hair. They all were around 17. After a quick greeting, the guy with blue hair passed Dōseiai a strange thing to smoke. Dōseiai didn’t understand what he was supposed to do, and just stared blankly. After a minute or so of awkward glances and suggestions, Dōseiai decided that it would be best if he were to just leave. He got up and slowly walked, wondering why people were wasting their time doing such unnecessary things.

The next day at school he started to notice things that he had never even considered worth thinking about. People kept talking about something happened last night, and if the people involved were going to get expelled. Dōseiai was confused, as he hadn’t heard of anything like this happening before. As the gossip buzzed around his head, a tall man with light blond hair approached him. He walked right up to Dōseiai and told him that he was to meet with the disciplinary committee tonight at 8 p.m. The tall man left at once, as if nothing had been said at all. Dōseiai just stood there, as if a tranquilizer had hit him; he was unable to think at all.

The committee convened sharply at 7:55 p.m. as everyone had already shown up. Dōseiai looked around and noticed that the majority of the people that had been together the previous night were there. Everyone that he had seen was there, except for the blue haired boy. He wondered how someone so obviously involved managed to get out of the punishment. This angered Dōseiai. He had nothing wrong, and as far as he knew neither did they. As soon as the questions started, the rest of the group instantly blamed the whole thing on Dōseiai. Dōseiai finally knew what had happened. The people now in trouble had all been caught high, just as he had been leaving. They tried to get out of some of the trouble by saying that he had been the one who bought and purchased the drugs. Dōseiai was enraged. Out of pure anger and disappointment he left the old, rustic room into the open. It was raining heavily and the irony was seeping just as much as the cold droplets. He ran away, wanting to walk off his anger. He went past his dorm on to what was known as the nature trail, a path along the hill around the campus. As he began to think about what happened, his anger grew. As his anger grew, his pace quickened, until he was springing along the curvy path at the top of the hill. Normally this would not be a problem, but the rain had saturated the mud underneath his feet. With a slightly off balanced step, he lost grip and fell off the edge of the hill and plummeted to his death.

Spirit Arc:

There he was, on the muddy ground hundreds of feet below where he was supposed to be. Everything went numb for a moment, and then as if a second wind had caught in his lungs he got up. The air felt denser then he was used to and he felt lighter, but other then that everything seemed normal at first glance. He started to make sure everything was okay when he noticed the strangest thing. There was a huge chain sticking directly out of where his heart should be. Panicking, he looked down to see his broken body underneath his feet. He wasn’t ready to die; his time had not yet come. His previous anger developed into a complete frenzy. He started to spring back up the hill that he had just fallen down. With every step it got harder, his chain getting stuck in the low shrubs growing on the side of the mountain. As he was nearing the top the very air itself seemed to rip right in front of him. A giant, tall, long-nosed, black creature with a pure white mask crawled its way out of the giant hole. The creature trusted its hand towards Dōseiai intending to crush his small body beneath the massive weight in his palm. Right as Dōseiai was sure the he was going to die once again, a light blue arrow flew right above his left shoulder, piercing the Hollow’s hand and furthermore shattering its mask. The once scary and giant beast was shattered before his eyes. What happened next happened so fast that Dōseiai didn’t even know it had occurred. A shinigami with bright blue hair, who had been observing the fight, decided it was time to take the quincy out. The menos was only bait to bring him out into the open. With a burst of shunpo and one well-placed swipe, the quincy was dead. Before Dōseiai could react, a hilt bumped his head and he was gone.

Shinigami Arc:
Dōseiai was placed in the first district of northern Rukongai. He instantly realized that he was now one of many, misplaced and lost souls wandering around the landscape like it was nothing. He wanted to be different, wanted to stand out, but no matter how much he tried, nobody cared enough to give him more then a glancing look. It seemed as if the only people who got any attention were the captains of the Gotei 13. Desperate to get attention, he decided to start the long path to captain hood.

First, he entered the Shinigami Academy. He always did decently in his classes, never too ahead or behind. When people asked him how he was doing, however, he lied and told tales of his perfect scores. This gave him a certain infamy among his class. They noticed that he obviously did not try in his classes, but still somehow thought that he was some sort of genius. He managed to graduate with marginal grades, and thoroughly angry teachers. He was assigned to the 7th division due to his way with words. The higher-ups thought that he would be good at making the Rukongai citizens believe in the way of the Gotei 13.

RP Sample: It was a dark lonely day for Dōseiai. He was sitting on top of his squad's barracks, wondering what to do with the seemingly infinite time left in his life. He glanced over to the left to see people sparring in the training grounds, something that he had not done in ages. Dōseiai hesitated for a moment, then jumped down off the roof, landing somewhat nearby the training grounds. He unsheathed his zanpaktou and threw the sheath off to the side as he entered the small dirt area that he would soon be sparring in. As he walked he noticed a feeling of tranquility in the air. This took him completely by surprise as only seconds ago he had been ready to fight for his life, to better his own strength. He lowered his sword, pointing toward the ground, in line with the rest of his arm. He let it hang there before the gathered his thoughts and suddenly, as if something snapped within him, he pointed his sword at the nearest squad member, provoking a challenge.
