Personality Dios is a rather cheerful guy. He likes to crack jokes and make people laugh. He does this mostly because of what his life has been like, after being brought back into soul society, he has been extremely grateful. He likes to make people feel better as a way of showing thanks to all of those around him for accepting him for what he is. However, he always shows someone his mask whenever he meets them, its part of the way he introduces himself. He will give out his name, put on his mask, and announce that he is a Vizard. He does this because he wants everyone he meets to know what he is. He understands that this probably isnt the best way to be making friends, as it scares most people off. He understands that it would be better if he waited until after he had gotten to know someone well before he shows his mask. Despite knowing that, he still does it anyway. Another good thing about him, is hes adaptive. The only reason hes usually so cheerful is because most of the people hes around feel good around a cheerful person. However, he can drop the really outgoing attitude if hes around someone that might feel uncomfortable with it, he likes to make everyone like him. The one thing that will get him mad however, is betrayal. He does not tolerate deception at any level, it is something he cant stand at all. Likewise, he is very silent and focused in a battle. He is always aware when fighting, and never wants anyone to get hurt. For this reason, he usually finishes battles quickly by using his mask, which is also a way of showing those around him the extent of his power.

Mask Information

Name: Hijo Guerra

Manifestation: Dios's inner hollow is quite simple actually, its basically the opposite colors of him, mainly white.

Unique Ability: Azul Anonadamiento (Blue Destrucion)
Azul Anonadamiento is a very powerful ability, that utilizes the masks special kind of energy. As the name implies, it is blue, with a black outline. It looks alot like Ichigos unique ability, but what it actually does is quite different. What the ability is besides being able to release this solid form of Spirit Pressure into attacks, is where the name really comes in. Dios will lift his sword into the air, and a giant wall of the Spirit Pressure will come out in front of him. From there, he will slam the sword back down, and the wall do one of a few random things. 1. Come crashing down like a tidal wave, 2. seperate and combine around the enemy, 3. explode, or 4. grow long spikes that shoot out at the enemy. When Dios puts on his mask, the blue spirit pressure can be seen forming it instead of the usual white substance of the mask.

Zanpakuto Information

Zanpakuto Name: Kansen

Zanpakuto Looks: Kansen appears to be a very basic sword at a glance, but more study would reveal something about it. The blade is rather slim, but abnormally long, meaning that the user is obviously very swift and tactical if he is able to use such a sword effectively, or that they are just unique to have such a weapon of choice. The hilt is pretty basic, as is the guard. The one very strange thing about the sword, is the very tip. The very tip of the sword is red, like perhaps it was impaled into somebody, and the blood from the wound is still on the end. Just looking at the tip could make someone uncomfortable, like they can just sense that something is wrong with it, but just cant place what.

Zanpakuto Description: The Zanpakuto itself doesnt have any specific abilities when its not released, besides the fact that looking at the tip will make someone feel uncomfortable. However, it will have an effect on Dios. When the sword is drawn, he will suddenly become silent and calm. He doesnt exactly give off a dark aura or anything, he just doesnt talk anymore. He looks like a real warrior, like someone you wouldnt want to mess with. If you look closely at his eyes when he is facing an enemy that he plans on fighting to the death with, calmed bloodlust is easily found in them. The way he just stares at his enemy makes them feel as though hes not targeting them, but looking directly at what they are as a whole. This kind of attitude will leave most around him suddenly go blank, like they just dont know what happened. This is usually because the sudden attitude change from cheerful, happy-go-lucky klutz, to silent, serious, deadly warrior.

Released Zanpakuto Description: The effects of Dios's released Zanpakuto are one of the most dangerous, but gives the enemy an opportunity to avoid them depending on their skill. The red color on the blade once released is actually a special kind of poison which is a solid form of the zanpakuto's spirt's energy. Every time an enemy is pierced by the blade, even just a small cut, a little bit of the poison will leak into their body, but only a little. On its own, the poison does nothing. It is for this reason that Dios must hit his enemy a few times before anything can happen. After about 5 hits, the poison will start to move. It will do one of three things depending on what Dios wants. 1. The poison will move towards the vital organs of the enemy, killing them from the inside out, however this takes the most amount of poison to do. 2. The poison will head towards the enemies brain, giving Dios complete control of the body once enough poison is there. 3. The poison will spread throughout the entire body of the enemy, neutralizing their nervous system, basically paralyzing them. The catch to this however, is that once the poison starts moving, it WILL stop eventually and reset itself. So, in order to reach one of these goals, Dios must hit the enemy again within 3 posts every time to keep the poison moving. The poison usually takes about 8 hits after it stops moving before it reaches one of its goals. So, it takes a total of 13 hits minimum to completely corrupt and enemy without any problems. The one exception to this, is if the enemy is impaled directly and deeply, then the poison can flow freely into their body. One thing Dios has to look out for however, is to make sure that the poison on his blade doesnt become unstable and attack him. The poison does come directly from the blades spirit, so he has to keep the spirit under control so that it doesnt just do whatever it wants. This is why hes usually so calm in battles, he has to focus so he doesnt lose control. Thats not the only reason though, but other reasons are unknown so far

Zanpakuto Release Phrase: "Corrupt them, Kansen"

Released Zanpakuto Looks: When Kansen is released into its Shikai, something interesting happens. First, the blade itself will grow slightly thicker, and a little longer. From there, the tiny red tip of the blade will spread, making the entire blade, as well as the handle and hilt, red. This transformation has an effect on all people in general, it will usually cause mass fear. When the Zanpakuto is not released, anyone looking at the tip will just be able to sense an evil inside of the blade, with the tip being a small window of it, and when it is released, that evil is also released.

Zanpakuto Spirit:

Zanpakuto Realm: The ream of Dios's Zanpakuto is a war torn battlefield. A barren wastland is all that can be seen for miles, the remains of weapons and armor can be seen all over as well. There are not any bodies however, just armor and weapons. The sky is always twisting and turning, like a giant hurricane that never does anything besides look deadly. On top of all of this, everything is red. Everything is a shade of red as far as the eye can see, as if the entire world was suddenly soaked in blood. It is usually raining too, and the water is also red. The water never touches anything however unless it is being invited to, and still then it doesnt exactly feel like blood.

Description: Locks a target's arms in place behind their back.

Name: 4. Crawling Rope (這縄, hainawa?)
Description: An energy rope entangles a target's arms.

Name: 9. Strike (撃, geki?)
Description: Engulfs a target in red light, completely paralyzing them.

Name: 30. Beak-Stab Triple-Flash (嘴突三閃, shitotsusansen?)
Description: After using kido energy to draw out an equilateral triangle, the targets' arms and waist are pinned down and rendered immobile.

Name: 39. Arc Shield (円閘扇, enkosen?)
Description: Summons a shield of energy to block opponents' attacks.

Name: 58. Summoning of the Tracking Sparrows (摑趾追雀, kakushitsuijaku?)
Description: Tracks and locates any spiritual force the user focuses on. To activate it, the user must draw a circle on the ground, cut into four parts with a specific character in each. The incantation animates the circle, causing various numbers to appear within until the specific set is found. The number set seems to be a variation on longitude and latitude.

Name: 61. Six Rods Prison of Light (六杖光牢, rikujōkōrō?)
Description: Summons six thin, but wide, beams of light that slam into a target's midsection, holding them in place. Referred to as "Six Rod Light Restraint" in the English manga and "Six Bars of Light" in some of the games.

Name: 62. Hundred Stepped Rails (百歩欄干, hyapporankan?)
Description: A rod formed of energy is thrown towards the target before it disintegrates into numerous short rods which are used to pin the target to the surroundings and render them immobile.

Name: 63. Winding Binding Chain (鎖条鎖縛, sajō sabaku?)
Description: The target is wrapped from the neck down in a thick chain.

Name: 75. Quintet of 1 kan Iron Pillars (五柱鉄貫, gochūtekkan?)
Description: Summons five incredibly tall and thick pillars to pin a target to the ground.

Name: 77. Heavenly Rickshaws in Silken Air (天挺空羅, tenteikūra?)
Description:Transmits messages to anyone within a specific area. In addition to reciting the spell, the user must draw specific markings on their arms, which are animated by the spell to convey the messages.

Name: 81. Splitting Void (斷空, dankū?)
Description: Creates an energy barrier in the form of a rectangular wall. According to Byakuya, it is capable of stopping destructive spells up to #89.

Description: Binds the arms of a target with spiritual fabric and iron shafts.

Description: Fires a ball of red fire at a target.

Description: Fires a column of blue fire at a target in a similar manner to 31, but over a wider area and with more power.

Description:Fires a blast of purple fire that will incinerate a target completely when it makes contact.

Description: A widening tornado-like blast is fired towards the target.

Name: 63. Thunder Roar Cannon (雷吼炮, raikōhō?)
Description: Fires a massive wave of yellow lightning at a target.

Name: 73. Twin Lotus Blue Fire, Crash Down (双蓮蒼火墜, sōren sōkatsui?)
Description: Essentially a doubled version of #33, this spell fires two shots of blue fire with greater potency than the single-shot variety.

Name: 88. Flying Dragon Striking, Heaven-Shaking, Lightning Cannon (飛竜撃賊震天雷砲, hiryūgekizokushintenraihō?)
Description:Fires a massive blast of spiritual energy in a fashion similar to a laser.

Name: 90. Black Coffin (黒棺, kurohitsugi?)
Description: Forms a box of black energy around a target, which is then pierced by dozens of energy "spears", lacerating the one inside from head to toe. Aizen notes that the spell only reached a third of its destructive potential the one time he uses it, indicating that the spell would be far more damaging at full power. Its appearance and function is reminiscent of a common magician's trick, as well as certain torture devices used during the Spanish Inquisition.

Misc. spells

Name: White Crawl (白伏, hakufuku?)
Description: Although not seen actually using it, Momo Hinamori apparently uses this spell while imprisoned to knock out a guard and destroy everything within a certain radius of herself. The anime suggests that it is a binding spell, but doesn't number it.

Name: Mirror Door (鏡門, kyōmon?)
Description: Tōshirō Hitsugaya used this to seal Momo Hinamori's hospital room. It creates a glass-like barrier which is difficult to break from the outside, but quite simple to break from the inside.

Name: Reverse Demon (反鬼, hanki sosai?)
Description: This technique nullifies an opponent's kidō by hitting them with a perfectly opposite surge of energy. Yoruichi uses this against Soifon's shunkō.

History and RP sample

History: The furthest Dios can remember about his past is being a normal shinigami, he cant remember anything else besides he last few days as one. When he was a normal shinigami, everything was strict and heavy. There were more laws that prohibited so many different kinds of things, it was crazy. He was able to cope though, he never got in trouble at all. As irony would have it, his one mistake would be the one that got him kicked out. He was the 10th seat of the 7th division back then, and he still hadnt been able to release his zanpakuto. He was pretty weak, he didnt even know the name of his Zanpakuto, and he was horrible with kido as well. He was a runt, worse than normal infantry, but he didnt care. He was part of a division, and got to lead a moderately good life, that was good enough for him. It didnt even bother him that the only reason he graduated the academy was because a few divisions needed infantry. So, he was weak, people pushed him around a lot, no one respected him very much, he didnt even have a family, and he was loving his life.

This didnt really last for very long though, eventually he wanted power. He trained every day to get stronger, to at least be able to release his zanpakuto, to learn its name, but he never got any better. This led him to getting mad a lot, and talking back to members of his squad normally, which always led to him getting punished because he couldnt defend himself when someone took his challenge. He tried desperately to get a name for himself. Then, one day, a group of shinigami that he hadnt seen before approached him while he was training. They all looked very powerful, and he could feel a power coming from them. They asked him if he was weak, they asked him if he wanted power. Before he accepted, he wanted to know what kind of power. Of course, he was frightened by the masks they all pulled over their faces, but his attitude quickly changed when he saw what they could do. After they had practically destroyed the entire training area, he agreed to go with them, and his path to a powerful future, yet a rather poor one was set.

From there, he had to do many things to increase his strength. He trained in strange ways every day that seemed to have absolutely no benefit on him at all. When he finally objected to these training sessions, the real test started. He was led to a special chamber of hungry hollow that were kept behind bars, and one of them were released. Dios was told to drop his weapon, which he did reluctantly. He was instructed to let the hollow consume him, and attempt to eat him. What he would do in retaliation however was try to overcome the hollow and absorb HIM when he was almost completely consumed. When Dios attempted this, he was quickly eaten and all hope seemed lost. It appeared that he was going to be a weakling until he died, which was right then and there. Then, something suddenly happened. A spark inside of him was lighted, and he was able to overcome the hollow, crushing it and consuming it with his spirit pressure. From there, every aspect of the hollow was destroyed except for that of the power of it. He had successfully beaten the hollow and become a vizard.

However, he wasnt done yet. He was then told that further training was needed or he would be completely consumed. He, and one other vizard spent weeks with the kind of training that seemed pointless again. Then, he was ready to try to overcome the hollow essence that had duplicated inside him. However, just as his instructions on what to do were given, they were ambushed. Loads of shinigami flooded their grounds, and started slaughtering all that they found. Even the captain commander was there himself to see to it that the vizards were wiped out. He failed though, the vizards started creating portals to get out of there and into real world. Dios's mentor was killed though, and he had used the last of his powers to open a gate to get him out of there. With an unknown expression and feeling in his heart, he left to the real world.


The crisis wasnt over yet though. As one would expect, the shinigami chased after them into the real world. At least another quarter of the vizards were killed then, and only Dios remained as far as he knew. However, he was able to escape stealthily, and had to face only one shinigami to live. However, he had to kill him. This one shinigami would be able to alert the others of him if he was allowed to live. But then, the shinigami's face was seen. It was the lieutenant of his old division, someone he had grown close to because he always praised him even though he was useless. Dios was ready to just let the man kill him, when something happened. He heard a twisted laughter from inside him, and it screeched after that. The hollow inside of him had taken control, and a mask had formed in front of his face. From there, Dios, or rather his hollow, killed the man easily. He was able to take control again after this though, but it was too late to really do anything. With a heavy heart at knowing the fate of himself, and that he had started it, he continued to walk on and try to survive.

Dios's life was not easy after that, in fact it was extremely rough. There were times when he just wanted to end it all because his life was filled with so much crap in misfortunes. Some of this was because he would suddenly become possessed by his hollow at completely random times, and he could feel it eating away at him. He remembered the words of his mentor "If you leave your hollow unchecked, it will eventually come to consume you, and destroy you. Those words buzzed around in his head constantly now, but he was to afraid to try and confront it. He would have nightmares about it all the time, and it made the hollow seem so much scarier than it already was. But, the day came when he was finally ready to face it. He had had a specially crappy day, any friends he had made he had just killed, a woman that he had been 'seeing' recently had freaked out when she witnessed the murder, attempted to kill him, attempting in her death, and all kinds of other things. He was ready to die, the world was just to cruel for him, he didnt want anymore to do with it. He did tell himself that if he had the power that the mask was supposed to be giving him, he would probably be able to stand up for himself and convince himself to live, but he didnt have any power. He allowed the hollow to completely possess him once more, and he was suddenly thrown into his Zanpakuto's realm, which he had never seen before. He was quickly faced off against the hollow, who had his Zanpakuto, but much larger. The two of them fought, and it was decided quickly, or so it seemed. Just as the hollow was about to deliver the finishing blow, it froze. Suddenly, he was in front of his Zanpakuto's spirit. From there, he discovered its name, and it gave him power. When he came back into the battle, he held his sword in his hand tightly, and blocked the blow. "Corrupt Them! Kansen!!!" He shouted out loud at the top of his lungs. His Zanpakuto became released while, the hollows version became shorter, and remained unreleased. From there, the battle turned around drastically, and didnt last much longer. Dios completely wiped the floor with the hollow after that, and he gained control.

From there, Dios's life turned for the better. He had a released Zanpakuto, he knew its name, he had a hollow mask, and he could just feel power coursing through him. From there, he was able to live a lot better, and survive a whole lot more successfully. He didnt show off though, he was sure to keep himself hidden, and keep a low profile. He was happy to see that he was making progress whenever he trained, and soon learned an ability from his mask: Azul Anonadamiento. He was thrilled by all of it, and he knew that he was very powerful now, which is all he really wanted. But then he looked around him, and what that power had cost. Was it really all worth it? He had a happy life with his division, and everything was pretty good. He didnt know, but this was his life now, and he was going to live it no matter what. He wanted to show everyone that he wasnt weak, show everyone that he could endure. He was going to live life, maybe even show the entire soul society that they were mistaken for outcasting him, when he could have helped them so much.

These thoughts of a possible revenge didnt last very long though, something very strange happened. He was suddenly visited by a shinigami one day but it didnt attack. Instead, it made a peace offering and asked that he would return to soul society. He explained that things had changed, there was a new captain-commander around now that wanted the vizards to help with upcoming battles. Dios was very surprised by this, but agreed to return, only a little suspicious that this could possibly be a trap. He was proven wrong however, and he faced the captain commander himself, face to face. The man looked a whole lot kinder than the last one, and proved so with his words. The man asked Dios to demonstrate his power and loyalty. To test the first one, he was asked to use his hollow mask to defeat an enemy. The enemy was a captured Espada from long ago, very old, yet still extremely lethal. Dios wiped the floor with this Espada quickly and easily once he put his mask on, in front of everyone present. To show his loyalty to them, he tossed his Zanpakuto away from himself, told the nearest shinigami to approach him, and draw his Zanpakuto. He used the restrain binding kido on himself, which was one of the only kido he knew. He then announced that if he could not gain the trust of all present in the room, he would ask the Shinigami next to him to execute him, right there. This worked, and he gained the trust of all present in the room. From there, the captain commander made a very large decision. He announced that a few captain spots needed to be filled, and asked if he was interested in becoming a captain. His eyes grew wide at the offering, but he accepted it humbly, agreeing to becoming captain of the 2nd division.

RP Sample: Dios smiled to himself from the top of a roof he was standing on. He had a crisp and new captains cloak wrapped around him. He had just become a captain, and had been told to explore the new Soul Society a little, and thats what he was doing. He loved the new place, it was so much better than the last, so much better......He just didnt know what to make of it, it was one of the most beautiful things he had ever seen. He was extremely happy at that point that he had been allowed to come back, he had forgotten so much about it, and he was so happy he could remember. He cupped his hands in front of him, and his mask formed in them. This was his identity, who he was, what he was. And now, all of that didnt matter anymore. He wasnt just a Vizard now, he was a Shinigami too, and he was filled with so much joy that people had realized that. He had never been filled with so much inspiration to do something before, and he was going to carry it out. Tossing the mask aside, letting it crumble to pieces in the air, he jumped off the roof onto his next destination.
