Techniques

Name: Oyashima – (Great Eight Islands)
Description: By first utilizing all carbon in the surrounding area, Rain will create Oyashima, eight dolls that act as one. Each doll appears as a regular human being in identical black cloaks that have their island name written in kanji upon the back. Each doll has one ability that is unique to itself and cannot be used by either Rain or the other dolls.

Rain is able to see through each of the dolls' eyes and can even speak through them. Because of her power over them, the dolls no longer have a separate consciousness of their own and are lifeless when Rain is not controlling them. Unfortunately, using even one of her dolls requires her to go into a state of a coma. While in the coma, Rain is unable to defend herself but can control all of the dolls as if she were within each of them.

Name: Ame no Ukihashi - (Floating Bridge of Heaven)
Description: With this technique, Rain is able to summon one or all of the dolls to the location of another doll or herself. The other effect of this ability is that she can recreate a doll but requires it to be summoned to her own location. Once a doll is recreated, it is unable to be used for 10 posts and an additional 10 posts for the restoration of their abilities.

Name: Ame-no-Nuhoko - (Heavenly Jeweled Spear)
Description: Rain creates the blades as needed, concealed in the sleeves of each doll, and can use these blades to disrupt the reiryoku of her victim, injuring them or rendering them incapable to move. When a victim is stabbed by the blades, her eyes appear in their mind, suggesting that she has some degree of influence over them, similar to how she controls the dolls. The rods, acting as a receiver to Rain’s reiryoku, allow her to manipulate the carbon within their body, giving her slight control over that part the body. However, while being influenced by her reiryoku, those who are stabbed, are able to detect the directional location of her original body.

Name: Gin Anrui - (Silver Tears)
Description: Rain is able to pull carbon out of anything around her. By placing the palm of her hand only inches away from something, Rain is able to molecularly draw the carbon out of it, thus causing it to disintegrate. Rain can then use the carbon molecules and manipulate them any way she wants. By keeping the molecules as close as water molecules are from each other, she is able to control it like water but allowing it to retain it's strength.

History and RP Sample

History:

A Dream (Birth)
When Rain first came into existence, she was created as a baby. But unlike other Bounts, Rain's soul was created within the womb of a woman. Unaware as to what she carried, the virgin woman's stomach grew bigger and bigger.

A silent wind blew through the cold shacks of an unknown Village. Many of the shacks were beaten down by the weather. Such was a familiar sight in the outer village. The weather was harsh, and many were taken by disease or the beasts that roamed the land. For those that are lucky enough to survive, they are stricken with poverty.

It was a common sight to have many shacks within a village breaking down. Their former caretakers no where to be found, either taken by the land, or they left the village for a better place. Their loose boards hang waiting for the inevitable day that they will fall. Their insides covered by frost, the food that was left behind, hardened by the cold. The only thing taking shelter in them, being the occasional stray animal, but they too didn't last very long.

However within all this strife and pain, there was also hope. Hope that lies within the new generation. What would be a harsh world for the last generation, the new one always makes it look like merely a bump in the path. On such a day as this, is born one such child. Within the warmth of a home owned by a young woman, was born a small child. Her hair a dark black/blue, like the dreams of a long forgotten paradise. Her eyes shined like a clear crystal glass beneath the stars.

She was born on but an average day, in a town of cold. Although just like all children in this world, her destiny was not set in stone. Could she escape this town, this world of prolonged death? If so, what did her future hold, and what mark would she leave on this world?

Fast Asleep
Years past, just as the snow drifts farther into the village. What was at one time a bustling village, is now reduced to but a few shacks, filled with only small families. Other homes have collapsed, and the creatures that roam the permafrost have made it a habit to venture into the town from time to time. Food was becoming scarce, and those areas filled with proper food, were under constant protection from the wild beasts. This village was finally on it's breaking point.

A young child stood outside. Her body wrapped in thick clothes. Her face flushed with a pink tone. In her hands held a small knife and a piece of wood. Bit by bit she shaved away at the wood. A simple hobby to keep her mind active. She was one of the few children left in the village. However, as much as she wished, she was unable to play with them. The others were all sick in bed, fevers constantly wrecking their bodies. That's why she made these small charms. She wished with all her heart that they would get better, they were her only friends. If they were gone she would have no one else. She would be alone.

The sun set once again. the night chilled her bones, even as she slept in her warm bed. Her dreams were the only things in this village that weren't tainted by the village. She dreamt of endless fields and beaches. The warm vibrant sun beaming down upon her. She ran across the sands and grass into the arms of her mother.

The next day came. When she woke, she found her mother standing over top of her. She was dressed heavily, and as she looked around she saw many bags and cases stacked up. The rumors she was hearing were becoming true. The village was finally going to be abandoned. She stumbled out of the house, her tiny hands trying to hold up a heavy case. She looked around outside. The others have also gathered their belongings. From what her mother told her, they were all going to another village far away. Although it is a place that is still covered with snow, its living conditions were better. The rest of the village was going to join together to get a small house for them to live in. They also hoped to find a good doctor to help the sick.

She was but only a child, but she wanted to do her best to help everyone. They were all she had.

The Waking
The times were easier, but the weather was just as harsh. While traveling she had lost a friend. Her fever heightened, and she passed away. The girl had been surrounded with deaths like this all her life, so seeing it was nothing new. However, the last thing any of them wanted to do was bury someone as soon as they arrived, especially one of the children.

Her fair skin was like soft porcelain and she shinned in the snow with each passing day. It didn't take long for the girls’ family to see that there was something different with her. Seeing that she was not aging as fast as the other's they believed her to be cursed but loved her until their dying day. On that day, Rain was put in a school. However, unlike most schools, this one was meant to train young children to become assassins for their government.

It didn't take too long for the girl to be ridiculed. She came from a poor family. As time went on, other's noticed her slow aging and pondered at what she really was. The others looked down on her, like nothing but scum. Once again she was alone. Her friends from the village who had also joined were now at an old age and were dying. Within this city she felt more death than in her old village.

Years had past. The girl had grown to be a true prodigy that could complete any mission without restraints. However, her unique abilities got in the way of most of the training and she was placed in care of her own teacher, without the comfort of other people. Anything she touched, disintegrated. katana melted rocks turned to dust, plants died all around her, and animals died when touched. She trained alone for years to come… until one day….

As if a switch went off, she became something foul…. She was training on this day just like every other day, fighting against her teacher. Believing that it was time to see some anger out of Rain, the teacher provoked the girl like a cat with a ball of yarn. It was time to put her into a life like battle, he hired someone to come and try to kill her. They were paid to beat her up and then leave. The paid man accidently hit her in the chest with a knife that was never meant to strike. Her blood dripped from her soaked clothes. Her face grew solemn and grave. A glimmer in her silver eyes flashed a putrid smirk of vengeance and so the start of an outcome that none predicted.

A Dream to a Nightmare
The girl extended her small fingers out at the man and clutched his arm. The man slowly began to disintegrate as she removed all of the carbon from within his body. Next was her teacher, who fought valiantly but was over come by the power that he had never seen her use. The girls’ ability to destroy every weapon he tried, deemed her winner of their small and pointless fight to the death. Her speed and strength were inhuman and her ability to manipulate carbon became his downfall.

It took another twenty minutes before the school fell silent. The giant burial ground was flooded with blood that had spilled by the hands of an innocent girl. The ashes of people blew in the wind. Her hair fell down over her face. She had slain them all. She was no longer herself… The once quiet girl who cared for all, was now demented and strange. The reason is a mystery and her whereabouts are still unknown….

RP Sample:

Her mother's death was a curious thing to her. After hearing the words escaped Riku's lips, Rain was emotionless. Her heart wanted to weep, yet her eyes would not work. Most of the emotions within her mind were shock. Who had the power to kill her? These were troubling matters, yet she could not stay focused on anything. Her mind wandered into her past and relived her life, growing up on her mother's right side. Never receiving affection or love, she could not help but be confused. Was she cruel for not weeping for her mother? Had she fallen into the hole that she had so desperately tried to stay from? As her mind went back further into her past, she could find no recollection of any feeling other than admiration for her mother. She remembered the many nights crying for her mother to love her. Yet as she begged, pleaded and worked for some comfort, the woman looked at her and only saw the man that broke her heart within the eyes of the young girl. Rain remained as if she had not heard him for the rest of the night, like nothing had happened.

That night, Rain let her hand drift off the side of the boat and looked down into the water. The cool liquid seemed to wash away the layers of repression and revealed a single loving memory; her only one.

Rain, dressed in an all white kimono, was sitting and watching her mother do her hair in the mirror. Her long locks of blond hair had been one of her favorite qualities that she wished she had. Rain looked down at her own dark hair and began to cry. Irritated by the noise, Amai turned to her daughter and cleared her throat while motioning for her to come over.

"Women must be strong. Cry for no one, else you will be seen as a weak little girl."

Through the sobs and sniffles, Rain replied to her mother's harsh words. "I am not pretty like you... I don't have the same hair, same nose, or mouth. We are nothing alike..."

Placing her daughter on her lap, she allowed Rain to look into the mirror. Along with her own reflection of a watery eyed girl, a smiling woman that she did not recognize was also looking back. It was that likness that made Rain smile that night and feel the first and only bit of love... "We have the same eyes."

Looking down at the water, small drops of water dripped form her chin as salty tears leaked from her eyes; her mother's eyes. She wept for the love that she would never feel, the hand that she could never touch and the mother she never had. How long had she worked to create a woman that her mother would be proud of? Was it all for nothing? Was life meant to be worked for and then stripped away without a seconds glance? Who was he to take away everything her life had been lived for? What demon killed Rain the day he killed her mother? Rain opened her once fluorescent blue eyes to reveal two spheres of silver staring into the watery depths. From her eyes shed the last tear... a silver tear. This man would pay...
