Roku is a very handsome young boy, who looks 15 physically, but is actually way older in actual age. He has long wavy, but messy black hair, and glowing brown eyes. He is about 5'8 and sort of muscular, he isnt a freaking gung ho guy since hes still only a teenager. He wears regular normal Shingiami black & white robes, with the occaisons he has to wear his Vice-Captain's badge during some meetings. He has a almost boyish face, a very playful look most of the time, and carrys a warm smile, or a concerned frown wherever he goes. On a bad mood, he usually scowls wherever he goes. Other than that, hes as regular as a human.

Personality Roku acts like a normal teenager would, playful, fun, sometimes irratable, but mostly a good friend. He is very well-known, and likes to brag on that. Very nice and kind, Roku is a very trusty person, who never tells secrets of others. For some strange reason though, he never trusts anybody with HIS secrets, though he reassures other that THEIR secrets are safe. No one knows why he doesn't trust most people, even if they're his best friends. Most people speculate that it had something to do of something that happened whilst he was in the world of the living, but Roku seems to either change the subject, or ignore somone that brings it up. Since he is very kind, good-hearted, and always happy, Roku is easy to get along with.

Battle is a different context though. Fighting is a hobby for Roku, he LOVES it. He thinks battles, and fighting are fun, and people can learn something from it. He typically holds a competitive smile/grin while fighting, except for those times where hes either in deep thought, or the opponent currently has the upper-hand, on those moments he has a hard, almost strained sort of experssion, with a scowl to match. He seems to enjoy battling, and relaxes most of the time. He is very skilled, and doesnt care what anyone else thinks of his battling, and tends not to brag as much.

Mask Information

Name: Yami Kuro

Manifestation: Yami Kurohyouken, is the evil part of the hollow spirit that resides in the zanpaktou. Dark Kuro, lives in the "Evil" part of the forest. He had also been in hiding there for quite some time, gaining power steadily while staying there, hiding. He had gained enough power to manifest his orignal Hollow form, and contact Roku, as well as take over him. He usually tries to take over Roku when he is either very weak, or very angry. Once Roku has been taken over, he acts much more agressive, his hollow mask will appear, and he move more animal-like, with animal-like agility to match. He will start to act more evily, as well as agressive fueled by anger. When Roku is taken over, it seems that Kurohyouken has the ability to ignore the pain that Roku was previously enduring, which makes him almost brand-new to the battle.

Kurohyouken takes the form of a panther-like Hollow. He is VERY cunning and tricky, taking things slow and preciseley. He has also never revealed himself to Roku, and since dark Kuro and good kuro both sound the same, he can easily manipulate Roku into doing things for him. Kurohyouken acts very relaxed most of the time, because if he ever feels very angry or very blood-thirsty, mad, annoyed, Roku can feel it as well, signafying Kurohyouken's temporary take-over. Not much else is known about Kurohyouken, except that he doesnt plan on revealing himself to Roku just yet...



Unique Ability: Since Roku is still in the process of becoming a vizard (he has yet to master the state) he has not figured out his ability with it. Though it does increase his strength and speed dramatically, allowing him to get the upper hand in battle. For the most part however, Roku can use Cero while in this form, which is high-level energy blasts that can be shot from places, such as the mouth or hand. Roku can also shoot cero from his eyes.

Hollow Mask Appearance:

Roku's hollow mask, looks mainly like that of a wolf. It has two, dog/wolf-ears on the mask itself, and red parallel markings near the eye holes. The mask is also shown to be grinning broadly, as shown by the set of teeth it has at the bottom. The mask itself, other than the red marks, is Shiny white, like very other Vizard mask.

Zanpakuto Information

Zanpakuto Name: Kurohyouken [Kuro-he-yo-ken] (Panther Sword)

Zanpakuto Looks: Kurohyouken normally, in its normal sealed state, is actually a very ordinary zanpaktou, like you would'nt expect much out of. It looks like a regular katana, with a pure white blade, and a black hilt. The hilt is like all regular swords, in this case, black cloth wrapped around it like normal Zanpaktou's. It also has a goldish, Bronze guard, with weird ancient markings on it. This would be the regular sealed form in the zanpaktou, almost looking like a modern-day katana, though the abilities it holds, are far greater than one should expect.

The markings on the guard of the sword are very precise & artistic, engraved in the bronze guard of the sword, making a beautiful masterpeice of it. They seem to be very well etched, and seems to hold some honor in the sword, in Roku's oppinion. They also appear to be a pattern of ziga zags, until finally ending in a small array of curves, that aren't as sharp curved as the zig zags.There is also one japanese symbol etched into the silver blade of the sword, which is the squad Roku is in, 10.


Zanpakuto Description: In its sealed state, it doesnt have any abilities other than the common ability to cut through supernatural things, such as Hollows and other soul reapers. It serves as a regular sword and theres nothing much to it.

Released Zanpakuto Description: Once Released, Kurohyouken's true abilities are released as well. They are all based on a blue energy that emits from the sword, which are different in form each time they are used. Roku is able to fire a blast of blue energy from the tip of Kurohyouken, called Sheishou Bakuha which is cabable of blasting through most objects. This is the base, and simple ability of Kurohyouken, and is used commonly throughout battles. Roku can also release a thin but wide trail of blue energy from Kurohyouken when swung, called Sheishou Toku creating almost like a shield of blue spirit energy, blocking some attacks, but mostly giving Roku a chance to escape as the shield is busy trying to block the incoming attack. If the attacks are minor, Roku can advance on the opponent while continously swinging his sword and making those shields, gaining an advantage on the opponent. The shields disperse shortly afterwards. Roku can also release a growing wave of blue energy when he swings his sword, called Sheishou Nami overwhealming opponents far away because the wave steadliy grows in size and power as it travels, meaning long range users are in trouble. There are probaly more techniques to Kurohyouken, but Roku has probaly not unlocked them yet, but the techniques he already posecess, he has already mastered.

Also, once Kurohyouken is released in its Shikai form, Good Kuro might have more of an "influence" over Roku. Roku will become more agressive and angry, maybe even reckless while his shikai is active. Roku will also adopt some characteristics of Yami Kuro as well, obtaining sharper teeth and nails, and faster, animal-like movements and agility to match. He moves more animal like. Roku also seems to get faster and stronger in his shikai form, due to compression of spirit energy in his body.

Zanpakuto Release Phrase: Release Your Powers! Engage In Battle And Embrace The Opponent in Your Might: I Command You: Howl, Kurohyouken!

Released Zanpakuto Looks: When Roku releases Kurohyouken, Kurohyouken takes on a whole new look. The blade is no longer curved like that of a katana, but instead starts out straight and curves out in the end. The Guard become a gem with 2 jagged ends coming out of it. The hilt is overlapped in a black fabric, and at the bottom of the hilt, a small spike comes out. The ancient carvings on the sealed guard of the blade are not etched into the 2 jagged ends coming out from the gem.



Zanpakuto Spirit: Roku's Zanpaktou spirit is like none other. Though most zanpaktou's have regular spirits, Roku's is different: His Zanpaktou has a hollow spirit locked inside its depths. This changes the standards of most zanpaktou's, having a Hollow spirit instead of a regular one. The spirit however, is split. Though it ws originally bad, it seems to have split, having one half good and one half bad. The good half was locked in the Zanpaktou, and the bad half, the one that wants to take over Roku, is actually stuck in both the zanpaktou, and inside Roku himself. Because the original hollow spirit had spilt in half, ther are also 2 different forms. The good half, has a more humanoid form. He is tall & muscular. He calls himself Kurohyouken, the Panther Spirit. Kurohyouken, has light/dark blue hair, he is seen with either, with a white/silver tint to it. He also wears pure white robes, with the front open, exposing his musclar abs and chest. The inside of the robes however, are black, showing that he is an opposite of Roku, clothes wise, since Roku wears the Shingiami standar black robes with white on the inside. Kurohyouken seems to have an agressive and rebellious spirit, who always wants to fight and never wants to full out agree with Roku at times. He looks like a man in his 30's, since he has such a young face, but well built body. Though even for a man in his 30's he isnt very mature, much like Roku is. He acts just like a teenager, and always argues over plans. Though during the heat of battle, both Roku and Kuro, find it in their hearts to trust eachother, and agree that the only place that they seem to agree in, is in battle and fighting.

Roku and Kuro's spirits seem to be very close together, having a very deep friendship since the first time they met. The only problem is, that they're so close, Kuro might accidently "influence" Roku's spirit, in other words, Roku sometimes starts to act like Kuro, mainly in times of stress and strain, times like... Battle. Roku starts to become more agressive and rebellious, as well as reckless,(and scaringly, a bit crazy and evil) and it takes a while before he can calm down. Kuro also states that he cant control it, and doesnt even notice when it happenes, raising some suspicion between them. Kuro... did have one conclusion though. Since he himself couldn't even notice that he was taking over, there was noly one explanation, the evil hollow self. Kuro never revealed that he was a hollow to Roku, for fear for himself and Roku. Thats why he seemed to be content when Roku never questioned the hole that goes from the front all the way to the other side of Roku's stomach. Kuro also sometimes feels the evil self growing in power, but he could never find his other self in the Zanpaktou's dimmension, as if the evil self was in hiding. He often refers to hsi evil self as Yami Kurohyouken, (Dark or evil Kurohyouken) but never EVER mentions him to Roku. It seems he had no choice but to reveal it all to Roku, when he had become to go through the process of becoming a vizard. [explained mroe in history]

Zanpakuto Realm: The realm of Kurohyouken, is actually a vast one. It is one giant forest, with different parts. One part of the forest is always sunny, more alive, and sometimes raining, while another part is dark, with the moon always out, and a mist hanging low on the ground... Those are the main parts of the forest. The "Good" part, and the "Evil" part. Those 2 main parts are also divided into regular parts of a forest: Swamp section(murky swaps and tall trees with roots creeping all over the place), bamboo section(Large bamboo's sticks as tall as the trees hundreds of them all compacted into a dense forest of bamboo sticks), Evergreen section (lush forests, and bushes), and much more forest-type elements there such as lakes, rivers, and like i said, much much more. The strange part about the forest though, is that there are animals there, but in almost ghost like. As if they exist there, but seem to be connected somewhere else. Though Roku doesnt know this, they are actual spirit/ghost manifestations of the hollows Kuro used to be part of when he was an evil hollow spirit. The animals in the forest seem be just that: snakes, monkeys, lepoards, panthers, squirells, birds, lots of animals. They dont usually interact with Roku, but at times, they do, and have shown to have the ability to talk.

History:

World of the Living Arc

Roku never really knew what it felt like to have: A home, a family, a friend, a brother, and most importantly, Happiness. He never knew what it was to have those things, or if it was even possible. Roku Seishin, was abandoned as a child, and left alone to die on the streets of the city he was raised in. He had to scavenger for food, water, for means of living, and for reasons to actually live any longer in his pathetic life. He was abandoned at age 10, by the person he trusted the most: His own (or what he thought was) Friend. He actually meant alot to him. To Roku, his "friend" was like a father figure, was like a family, brought happiness upon Roku. Roku's friend was 15, and he provided a home for Roku. The only problem was, that Roku's "friend" didn't feel the need to provide anymore to Roku, as Roku did nothing or could've done nothing in return to him, so he set the place they called a "home" on fire while Roku was asleep. Roku didn't feel any pain, didn't feel any emotions, didn't feel anything but the embrace of death, and the loss, of all hope...

Rukongai Arc

Roku didn't even expect it, or antictpate, or even wish, dream, or hope, that such a place could exist. He arrived in the Rukongai's 45th district shortly after his death with little time to wander the earth as a spirit because of a fellow soul reaper who purified Roku. Roku didn't know how to feel about a second life, Happy for a new begining, or Sad that he could have another tragety happen to him again. Roku also noticed that he was still in his 10 year old form. He decided that a new begining sounded better, so he tried his best to make his second life count, but it seemed just like his old one: Searching for food, hiding, sleeping on dirt. Nothing seemed to be going right at all, and then, he saw an opprotunity some years later. Though Physically looking 15, Roku lost track of how old he was, anyways, he saw the opprotunity some years later, when the Soul Society were recruiting some people for the Soul Reaper Academy. It was 3 months before they would start recruiting people, and they needed people to sign up in the 3 month time span, handing out regular swords and the robes/supplies needed for the Soul Reaper Academy. Roku signed up immediatley after hearing about it, and spent his 3 months working out and honing his skills, for he was just about to make his 2nd chance at life count.

Soul Reaper Academy Arc

It was more than he expected, and much MUCH more exciting than he ever thought it was humanly possible, than again, it was the spirit world after life. Roku marveled at how such an ability to manpiluate spiritual energy, ever existed, and practiced what he was taught whenever he had free time. This also payed off, as he usualy mastered everything he had learned in a couple of days, due to extensive training. He enjoyed his time at the academy, and was most delighted and when his zanpaktou appeared to him. He had never left his zanpaktou unatended ever since, and trained with it ever so much, and then he finally was released from the academy, fresh out, and was placed in the 10th divison, of the 13 court guard squads. He was fairly strong, not an officer, but highly respected throughout his members, and rose fairly quickly throughout his ranks. It was the day he learned the name of his zanpaktou, that gained him alot of respect.

It was a simpe private mission given to him as some training for the upcoming ranks, kill the hollows that were purging a small town's people. Simple enough, Roku entered the World of the Living, forcing himself to concentrate on the mission and nothing else. What he didn't realize was that the missions had been under exagerated: there were atleast 10 hollows all in one area, attempting to feast on the whole town. Roku got there as quickly as he could, and ran into 4 of the 10 hollows. He managed to slay them all after a diffucult battle, but was injured in the porcess, and had to deal with 6 of the other 10 hollows all at once. He entered a sort of trance and found himself in a forest, his Zanpaktou realm. There he met a guy, blue hair, white robes, tall, muscular, and very very snipy. He scolded Roku for not achieving the power of the zanpaktou by this time, and said that if he wanted to live, Roku would have to beg for the man's name. Confused but willing, Roku did as the man said, and begged for the man's name, and then found himself, back in the world of the living, with 2 peices of information: 1. He had the name; 2. He had to say it and a phrase to get out alive.

And so, Roku recited the ancient phrase: Release Your Powers! Engage In Battle And Embrace The Opponent in Your Might: I Command You: Howl, Kurohyouken!
Roku was embraced with a new power, and a new form in his zanpaktou, which had changed. He slayed the remaining hollows and curiosity filled him as he questioned this new form. It was sureley shikai, and was defintiley powerful, but as he was fighting the hollows, there seemed to be a certain connection during the fight beween him, his shikai's powers, and the hollow powers: Roku's shikai seemed to have almost Hollow-like powers. Roku ignored this fact, and returned to the Soul Society, with a job well done.

The Congragulations Party

Roku was immediatley made an unseated officer on the hearing of his report, slaying the 10 hollows AND unlocking his Shikai form, all in one mission. The 10th division apoligized to Roku for not anticipating the amount of hollows, and congragulated him for his shikai, and made him an unseated officer. The 10th divison celebrated with Roku that night, and it was that night, that Roku met his divison captain for the 1st time.

Roku was in awe as he saw the 10th division captain Ritsuke Tenshu, walk up to him personally, and congragulate Roku. All Roku could do or say, was stutter as if he had something caught in his throat. The captain laughed and walked away, joining the other members in the 10th divison party, leaving Roku, in awe. Roku felt so honored that day, and would never forget.

Roku trained even harder since that day, everyday, working out, practicing his moves, anything to make hiself stronger. Though something strange kept happening while training. Whenever he got to weak from using to much spiritual energy, he could feel a stab of agression and anger, and he felt like he was being watched... from the inside. Roku couldn't explain what it was, but he could almost feel darkness surrounding him. He could feel the darkness inside him, and twice he was almost sure that he wasn't alone, but at the same time, he couldn't help thinking it was inside his mind as well.

The Hollow Unleashed

It was by this time, that Roku was an 5 seat officer, an extrodinary high rank, for his age. He had also mastered his shikai form, to the point where he only needed a few words to awaken it (Howl, Kurohyouken). Roku was very pleased with himself, but still wouldn't consider himself strong, despite with what others said. He was pleased, though, with the fact that his training had finally payed off, and he was a seated officer now! It was so much excitement, cause Roku was able to embark on dangerous missions now, and Roku naturally liked fighting hollows, almost like a sport, though he took it seriously. The only weird part, was that Kurohyouken seemed to be uncomfortable about something, as if he was hiding something from Roku, but everytime Roku asked, Kuro would either change the subject, or say he has to go, and then dis-manifest (like he could go anywhere except the zanpaktou).

It was when Roku finally learned the truth, that he became a vizard, something all shingiami hated, because it was when a Shingiami, became a hollow...
It was another mission given to him, but this time dealt with a rogue Shingiami. It was a shingiami of the 10th divison, one of his own. Roku took the mission seriously, and was determined to bring back the fellow shingiami, and bring him back to his senses. Soul Society also mentioned that if it got to out of control, that Roku had permission to kill the shingiami, but Roku wanted to avoid that at all costs.

Extrodinarily, the Rogue Shingiami had fled into the world of the living, and Roku followed, with information being fed to him by the Soul Society about his abilities and where abouts, his current position, and his predicted movments. Roku used this information to finally track the Rogue down. Apon arrival, to bring the shingiami back, he drew his sword, and attacked Roku. After a devistating battle, Roku was being slowly beat. The Rogue was a powerful one, even for Roku to handle. One attack later, and Roku was on the ground, holding his chest, as blood spurted out from his wound, the rogue slowly approached Roku and attempted the finishing blow, and then Roku suddenly grabbed the sword. It was like looking at himself fighting, but with no control, as if he was being contained. Half his face was covered in a white-substance, that was forming half a mask. It wasn't his voice when he spoke, or his words, as if Roku didn't even exist anymore. When the Rogue asked of the person that was now controlling Roku's body's name, Roku (or rather the other personality) replied, Kurohyouken]. This astonished Roku, as he knew that Kurohyouken sometimes "influenced" roku, but never EVER took over, as if he had the power to do that. Then Roku suddenly attacked the person, using a powerful cero blast to overwhealm the rogue, and then stabbing him in the back as a finish. Roku suddenly gained control of his left arm, and shifted his fingers to under the mask. He could feel another precense attempting to regain control, but Roku mustered all the strength he could, and ripped the mask off his face, taking control of his body once more. How could Roku have used a cero? How did Kurohyouken take over Roku? What would Roku do with a mission failure? Roku decided to awnser all these questions, by questioning Kuro himself, as soon as he got back from Soul Society.

The New 10th Divison Vice-Captain

Roku reported to Ritsuke, telling him about the death of the Rogue Shingiami. Roku felt ashamed, as he saw Ritsuke's face drop slightly at the news. Roku, as soon as he was alone with the captain, quickly blurted out about the incident, and the weird mask. After a period of silence, Ritsuke gently told Roku, that he was becoming a vizard, which was when a Shingiami turned partly into a hollow, or atleast, gained their abilities. Roku couldn't believe the terrible news. Would he be banished from the Soul Society? Roku bid Ritsuke good night, and ran as fast as he could back into his house. He drew his sword out and connceted with the Zanpaktou Realm, finding himself in a dream-like forest, with Kurohyouken lying on a tree branch. Roku questioned Kurohyouken, to which he sighed and then started to explain everything, To him being a hollow spirit, to Yami Kuro, the evil side of the hollow spirit, to Yami Kuro possibly affecting Roku's spirit, turning him into a hollow/vizard. To Kuro's surprise, Roku took this mildly well. He didn't say anything and left the realm after the hours of explaining. Roku, finding himself back in Soul Society, fell asleep immediatley after falling onto his bed, hoping it was a terrible dream.

The next day, Roku woke up to find himself with a note, which called him to a meeting with the Commander Captain, and 10th divison Captain, Ritsuke. A feeling that he was about to be banished, Roku took his zanpaktou, fearing the worst was that he would have to fight his way out. The suprise shocked him fairly well, as he was left in awe. They congragulated him on the fairly dangerous mission, and told him the bright side to being a vizard. Roku quickly explained that he knew being a vizard was a bad road, and that it was unintentionally, and that he just discovered that his zanpaktou spirit was a hollow, but they silenced him and explaned, Because he had become a hollow, all his powers were increased to the point pass a Shingiami, passing up many shingiami in 10th divison in almost every subject, making him elegible for Vice-Captain. They already thought that Roku was very strong, and more then worthy to apply for the job, so they appointed Roku to vice-captain. Left dumbstruck, Roku quickly bowed to Ritsuke and and the Commander Captain, leaving the room and resisting the urge to jump up and just start chearing. He gripped the handle of his zanpaktou, and silently thanked Kuro, knowing that ir was Roku's choice, if becoming a vizard will land him on a good road, or bad...

Roku lay on the floor, gash lay open, his chest pouring with blood, soaking his Shingiami robes in a deep crimson color. Roku coughed up blood, gripping his chest even harder, dizzy from the loss of blood, You... bastard... thought Roku crazily in the head, Glancing up at the rogue shingami. "Any Last Words?" asked the Rogue Shingiami, a smile of the up most pleasure spreading throughout his battle-scared face. Roku suddenly gripped his face, as if it was in deep pain. ARGHHHH, this, what is this!? what is all this dark energy i feel? and why has the pain in my chest intensified.... the thoughts whirled inside Roku's already buzzing head. and he gripped his face tighter. Suddenly, white matter started launching itself to Roku's face, from seemingly nowhere in particular, it just appeared out of this air. Roku sensed it was bad, that he had to get away, but the matter slipped inbetween his fingers, starting to cover up the left part of his face. "Awww, is the poor baby crying that hes gonna die? well, if you beg, i wont make your death as painfully as i planned..." mocked the rogue shingiami. Roku felt a stab of anger suddenly fill his head, sudden intent to hurt the rogue very very bad filled his systems. "You know... I dont think you really realize how i am" said a voice that came from Roku, but wasn't quite his. "Do you know who i am?" asked the voice to the rogue, Roku's face hidden in shadow. "Something like Roku, i dun know, all that matters is that YOUR GONNA DIE!" yelled the rogue as he swung his sword downward at Roku's exposed neck, since Roku was bent over, his hand still gripping his face, his other hand gripping his zanpaktou.Roku finally removed his hand from his face, looked up, and caught the incoming sword, smirking up at the Rogue with the right part of his face. "My name.. is KURO"HYOUKEN!" yelled the voice once more, and Roku gripped the rogue's sword, and did a simple motion, pushing the rogue back. Roku then flash stepped, appearing nect right behind the Rogue, Roku's free hand glowing a bright red, and Roku pointed it at the rogue's back. "And I... am gonna kill you" whispered Roku, as his hand suddenly released the stored up energy, exposing the rogue to a bright red concentrated blast of energy, Cero.
