Riku stands at exactly six foot. He has sliver(ish) white hair with aqua colored eyes. He has a lean build but is surprisingly strong for the appearance of his build. He can usually be seen wearing the standard Shinigami outfit, but with a few differences. Riku wears his attire with the top half of it open, starting from his neck the lower half of his chest. He also doesn't wear the white under portion of the outfit, but instead wears light chain mail under the main, black robes. Over that, he wears the standard White Captain's Robe with the insignia of his squad on the left sleeve.

Personality: Riku is usually quiet in most situation, and will not say much unless needed, however if he feels comfortable enough, or the subject interests him enough, he will talk more than he usually would. He seems very laid-back, and also considered lazy by many. In truth, however, he is serious in most situations although doesn't seem as so. Riku has a very tactical mind, and is a very accomplished strategist, although he comes to question his own methods in many situations, seeing if there is a better way to go about doing something. Riku hates useless fighting, and comes to dislike many people who adore it, although he will enjoy a fight if he feels it's worth something in the long run. In general, he tries to avoid most things, preferring to be alone, so he can usually be found somewhere without many people. Because of this, Riku hates places that are crowded, his reason being all the noise gets on his nerves. Some people though he was claustrophobic for a time, but stopped after he clarified that he wasn't, which wasn't as easy as it sounds. Riku is also a very intelligent man, being able to thing many steps ahead of someone, and deduce strategies and tactical plans easily. His mind is a very interesting one, as he may not have the 'delicate' hand to do things Axel does, or isn't an amazing Kido user, however the and idea's for new Kido's, techniques, expierements, etc. are quite interesting and sometimes very disturbing. Riku, is actually the cause of some of Axel's expirements and Kai's Kido.


Zanpakuto Information

Zanpakuto Name: Tenken

Zanpakuto Looks:

Zanpakuto Description: Without being released, Riku's Zanpakuto is just like any other unreleased one, given its looks. His trademark, so to speak, is that his opponents only see him sheath his sword before their head drops to the ground. This, however, is only because his extremely advanced use of flash steps, which is outmatched to most Shinigami who haven't yet released their Zanpakuto.

Released Zanpakuto Description: When Riku's Zanpakuto is released, it calls upon a portion of the powers and abilities available in his Bankai Stage. While released, Tenken can alter gravity in any way Riku see fit. In Shikai form, Tenken can only alter the gravity in a 500 meter radius from where Riku is. Riku can either alter the gravity in a certain area in the 500 meters, or he can focus on someone inside the radius. The gravity alteration can affect Shinigami and other things similar as well. Riku can choose wether he wants to be affected by the change in gravity or not. The blade itself, can also move and has the same function as Renji's Zabimaru. It term, the blade can move like a chained sickle.

Zanpakuto Realm: Tenken's Zanpakuto realm is one the resembles empty space. It's blank, lifeless area, with nothing but stars and maybe large planets in the background. Riku cannot die while he is there, although he doesn't know that, and the Spacial Realm makes a great place to train as well. This being because Tenken controls everything in that Realm, and when training there, he will usually take Riku to one of the planets there, which he can control the physical conditions on any planet, making it one of the ultimate places to train. Riku has noticed that although he can feel the various weather conditions of each planet, he's survived each one, where it'd normally kill them.


Bankai Information
(This applies to captains, and advanced lieutenants only)

Bankai Name: Tenken Kara- Kaijin (Lit. Divine Punishment through Complete Destruction)

Bankai Description: In Tenken's Bankai, it's true powers are released and Riku has now full control over Tenken's Spacial render ability. This would being able to do a few different things, and one of which being able to alter gravity, although in Bankai, that ability becomes even stronger and he can flaten Lieutenant level Shinigami without much effort. As well as being able to alter gravity with it, Riku can also open black hole like things, however they're more controled, to which they are used as portals. This is because they can absorb an attacks, and Riku can then make the black hole appear somewhere else, redirecting the attack. This can also be used to teleport Riku to other places. Riku, aware of his great gap in his ratio of speed:strenght, developed this attack to make up for that, only available in Bankai. It's called Meteor Strike, and it requires him to build up reiatsu in his attack, then release it in a strike, which Tenken commented had the destructive force of a meteor. Like with his Shikai, Riku can choose wether he wants to be affected by the change in gravity or not.

As well as the Zanpakuto's abilities, Riku's Bankai also increases his speed, both movement and attacking, greatly, making him an extremely fast individual. Riku also gains Angelic looking wings, that grant him the ability to fly in the air at great speeds as well. As for the weapon itself, where the two hilts connect is a chain maade of Riku's reiatsu, which can be extended to any lengths as long as he has reiatsu.

Bankai Looks: The Zanpakuto itself is exactly similar to what it looks like in Shikai form, except that where the hilt would normally end, another hilt starts, and there's another Shikai looking blade on the other side, making it a double-sided weapon.

Alterations: When Riku uses Bankai, his clothes and physical features alter. First off, his normal Shinigami clothes change, to where his white robe disapears, and his black robe changes to where it is now sleeveless, and the upper part of it isn't there as well. In its placeis now the light chain mail. Also, the lower half gets an added part, that looks like it'd be on a coat. He also gets energy like angelic wings. Tenken commented on them, saying that its stange he has angelic wings in stead of demonic wings that resembled his. If you want more detailed picture, it's above all this writing, XD.

History and RP sample

History: Riku doesn't remember much from when he was still human, and he's surprised he could remember his name. There were few things he can remember about his life before death, although there isn't many. One thing that he for sure remembers it that while still in High School, he was very interested in how gravity worked and the wonders of space. Everything other than that is not known to him, and the day he died, or at least how he died is the last thing he remembers before becoming a Soul. The day he died, he was helping a scientists at a University test a new Gravitation Field that he created. While inside, a malfunction happened, and the gravity inside the field increases dramatically, crushing Riku beneath it. When Riku awoke, he was outside the university, only he was transparent, or so its seemed as no one could see or hear him, and he was levitating in the air.

He spent the next few weeks roaming around the town he once called home, doing and enjoying stuff he couldn't normally do, or at least things he couldn't get away with. After about two weeks of messing around with girls and just being a lazy ass. This, however, was soon spoiled when he was attacked by what he now knows as a Hollow. It was saying he has a strong spiritual pressure, and he would be the tastiest thing he's had to eat in decades. At the point, Riku had no clue what the hell this thing was talking about, so he did the most reasonable thing, and ran like hell. He didn't get far before the strange being caught up and cornered him. It seemed like the end for Riku, however, just in time, a man in black robes came to help. The man introduced himself as something called a Shinigami.

This Shinigami said he was able to find Riku in time, because he seemed to be giving a strong Reiatsu, and though it was another Shinigami calling for help. After that was said, the man, if you could call him that, in black battled the creature known as a Hollow, and although he was able to injure the creature, it got the better of him, and greatly harmed the Shinigami, making him go down for the count. The creature then turned his attention back to Riku, which Riku has already begun to run like hell once more, as soon the the Shinigami had fallen. The Hollow gave chase to him, and was gaining fast. Riku had a strong will to live then, and didn't want it to end like this. Knowing this, however, he stopped, and turned around. Deciding that running would only prolong his inevitable fate, he turned and faced the incoming Hollow. Riku then charged at the Hollow, his fist swinging outward as he screamed a manly war cry while closing his eyes (Yeah how manly is that, ). The next thing he heard was the Hollow scream, and the sound of blood when it sprays out in Anime real fast. Riku opened his eyes, only to find out he was holding a strange katana. Holding on to it, he turned around to face the Hollow, which lay on the ground behind him, cut straight in half. The wounded Shinigami made his way to them, surprised by the blade now in Riku's hand, and told him that the safest thing to do now was to send him to the Soul Society. Riku reluctantly agreed, and was hit over the head with the butt of the hilt.

When Riku next awoke, he found himself in a run down area. It looked as if he was in a town or village of a Feudal Japan, but in reality he was in one of the lowest districts in the Rukongai. Riku spent the next year in the slums, learning how it worked in this new world, and learning how to survive living the poor life that he did. While in his stay there, many people questioned him about the katana he carried around, but all he told them, or could tell them was that he found it, as that's what pretty much happened and he couldn't really explain it any other way. He gradually practiced with the weapon when he could. After about a year of learning how to survive the life of a bum, Riku joined a local street gang in his districts town, The Viridian Thugs. He lived with them for a long time, soon becoming a respected member of the gang and befriending it's Leader. The Thugs survived on stealing and vandalising to make there way. After a while, Riku's swordsman ship skills increased greatly, and he became a great street fighter as well, thus, he became the Thugs main muscle/protection.

One day, a mysterious higher up man came to the town. No one knew why he was there or who he was really, but they did know that he was a Captain of the Court Guard Squads. Their Leader, Kai, planned an elaborate scheme as to steal whatever possessions the man had. Three of the Viridian Thugs went to distract the Captain, which they did perfectly. While that was happening, Riku and Kai went in for the steal. As soon as Kai neared the man however, he seemed to drop from some kind of heavy pressure. At that moment, Riku, not realizing what he was thinking, and his arrogant and headstrong side that he had as a child took over, and Riku drew his katana. He rushed the man, and swung. the Captain pulled out his own katana and blocked the attack with ease that just pissed Riku off. Intrigued by Riku's blade, knowing that it was a Zanpakuto, attacked to see what the kid had, which Riku blocked to the Captain's surprise. However, the force of the blow had sent Riku flying back and crashing into a small hut. After talking with Kai, the man made his way over to Riku, in which he explained to have that much skill with a blade, and to even manifest your Zanpakuto like this is unheard of.

Riku talked with Kai for a bit the following day, and then never saw anyone from The Viridian Thugs ever again, save one Kai Karasu. After his talk with Kai, Riku was taken to the Shinigami Academy to train and learn about them. Riku spent the first year there learning all the basics, which he caught on quickly, especially Kido and other things that were required of a Shinigami. The only thing he could not accomplish in that first year was to manifest his Shikai. Riku deduced that this was because of his premature manifestation of the Zanpakuto itself, thus it would take even longer to get his Shikai. Knowing this, Riku worked on his skill with his sealed Zanpakuto and greatly improved his Flash Step, which he soon surpassed every Academy Student in it. Riku spent another few years in the Academy, because he could not seem to manifest his Shikai, although his skills were outmatched in the Academy, as he could easily best anyone in a Spar or test, even people that had manifested their Shikai.

After about six years in the Academy, his power was already equal to a low single digit seated officer. Then, a voice finally talked to him in his mind, and it was his Zanpakuto that was doing it. It had, after six years in the Academy, manifested itself. Riku asked what the reason that it took so long, and Tenken's reason for such was that he didn't feel like it. This would normally piss Riku off to the extreme, but he was too happy at the thought he would finally get out of the Academy, however, his plans were crushed when Tenken wouldn't manifest on the Entrance Exams to the Court Guard Squads, saying he wasn't in the mood. This happened for two more years, and put a very strange relationship between the two.

After those two years, Tenken finally said he was comfortable with manifesting for the Entrance Exam, but that was his cover up for "I finally felt like it." After his display of his highly Advanced skills, and his amazing Shikai, he was immediately assigned a seat in the Court Guard Squads in the sixth division. After moving up in the ranks, and gradually becoming even stronger, Riku became Sixth Squads Lieutenant, and soon afterwards learned his Bankai, which surprised very many people because he learned a few years earlier than it would normally take. Riku was soon asked to be Captain of the Ninth Squad, seeing as he was stronger than even Captains now, he agreed.


RP Sample: (Going to make this the day he was attacked by a Hollow in the World of the Living)

Dammit, how'd I get myself into this situation? Riku asked himself as he sprinted down the street, the monsterous Hollow chasing behind him. Riku kept running, even though he knew the creature was catching up to him. He turned corners and ran through alleys, but that seemed to be his downfall, as he now stopped at a dead end. As the Hollow neared, a white beam of energy came and hit the creature on the back, and a man dressed in black robes desceneded down from the sky. 'That's strange, I though that reiatsu was that of another Shinigami's, but it seems it was coming from you' the man in black said to Riku, eyeing him up and down. Riku stayed silent and watched, as seeing something like would normally make him question what he was seeing many times over, but after the past week, he could believe anything.

The man in black, who was apparently called a Shinigami, began to engage to the Hollow in a fight, as he pulled out a katana from its sheath. The two stange things fought, but after s few minutes, the Shinigami screamed out as the Hollow had struck his neck with an attack, sending blood flying into the air, and the shinigami came falling down soon after. Before the Hollow even turned around to face Riku, he had already climbed over the fence and resumed running. The white creature followed suit, and was gaining fast.

This looks like the end for me. I would have hoped it wouldn't end like this, although I didn't really know what to expect after I died once, so I can't really say that. NO! Running is only prolonging my inevitable fate. If I'm going out, it'll be with a fight! Riku though while he stopped and turned around. "Ahhhhhhhh!" Riku screamed as he rushed forward, fist balled and ready to strike. As he came that much close to the Hollow, he closed his eyes, and the next thing he heard was the scream of the monster that had just about eaten him. In Riku's left hand was an oddly shaped katana, and it reminded him of the one the shinigami had earlier. Gripping the hilt even tighter, Riku turned around, only to find the cut in two body of the Hollow. Riku looked at the bloody blade in his hands with a confused look. 'Interesting blade you have their..' the bleeding Shinigami said as he limped over to where Riku stood. All Riku could do was return with a dumb grin on his face.
