Looks: Hijikataken wears a loose black colored samurai kimono, he has long jet black hair tied as a pony tail. His features show a killing intent with his deep piercing brown eyes and a light X- shaped scar that was given to him in battle against the arrancars and hollows. He is in tip top shape and looks young for his age. Also the picture of him is my sig.

Personality: Hijikataken puts forth a lot of effort in almost everything that he does. He does everything that he thinks should be done in any aspect of his life with a good amount of energy. He is conscientious, practical, realistic, and dependable. While Hijikataken will dutifully do everything that is important to work towards his goal, he might not naturally see or value the importance of goals which are outside of their practical scope. However, if the he is able to see the relevance of such goals to practical concerns, he'll put every effort into understanding and incorporating into his quest for clarity and security.

Name: Kuroi Bara (Black Rose)[b/]

[b]Manifestation: Astarot being the name of this powerful Dark Dragon. In demonology, this is the name of a Prince of Hell, meaning "Leading One" or "The Chief." Astarot in the giant mountain that black roses all over the place. There is Ash and black rose petals that are scattered everywhere around and is constantly flying around in the air. Astarot seems to be the opposite of Hijikataken, he will get him into any fight that Astarot seems that is worthy of him to fight them and if not than he just curses them and tells the 'boy' to walk away. Astarot seems to usually call Hijikataken by the name of 'boy' because he deems him not even worthy of the name 'man' yet and definitely not the Dark Rose Prince.

Sealed Zanpaktou: Hijikataken Zanpatou looks like in its regular state like that of a regular katana with a black laced handle.

Shikai: When Hijikataken Zanpaktou is at its Shikai state the blade is completely black

Shikai Ability: Dragon's Rage- Hijikataken can automatically use this whenever he wants with a price, his eyes become like that of his Dragons and he gains more reaitsu than before even more than his released Shikai, it puts him almost into a berserk form that he goes around trying to destroy almost anything in his path and soon would have no regard for his own safety and he also gains uncanny strength that he is able to use. (Actually has not fully mastered once it is fully mastered he can than use it to grant speed and heightened his abilities without going into a bloodlust type frenzy.)

Hijikataken can use his blade to use the Darkness only at night for at night it spreads over the area and attack people with it meaning he can use the shadows as clones of him in the dark and he can also use them to attack his opponents using his blade to have something soar out of the tips of them that is a black reaitsu the wave of reaitsu will go soaring at his enemy like black roses flying towards the enemy at high high velocity, but it still can be dodged if fast enough.

Hijikataken can use the darkness only when it's night out, making it stream across the ground or through the air as long as there are shadows somewhere nearby than he can use them to his advantage meaning that Light is his main weakness. With the Darkness he can make it come off the ground and manipulate it into the shape he wants meaning he can easily use it to try and impale someone if he tries hard enough.

History and RP Sample

History and RP Sample: Hijikataken was born in the human world. His father had left his mother sometime before, so she was the only one who could take care of Hijikataken. During his childhood in Japan, Hijikataken grew very close to his mother and never left her side. Anytime she needed help or someone to talk to, Hijikataken would always comfort her. Throughout his life many strange happenings occurred for him. When he was 11, he was awake every night calling for his mother. Each night she would run to his room to heed his call and every night it was the same. "Mom! There's an old man with cat eyes staring at me over my bed. He has some chain over his chest, Mommy I-" She calmed him down and told him nothing was there as he continued to look over her shoulder seeing the man laughing at him.

A few weeks pass of these, until one night as the man creeps forward continuously laughing at Hijikataken. The fear in his heart is real and before he can scream, a new figure dashes into the room. The black-robed figure grabs the old man and disappears into the night with him. Hijikataken has no idea what just happened. He runs to his window and looks out...nothing. He looks at his feet and sees a necklace with a small (hollow) mask on it. For weeks he goes around asking if anyone has lost the necklace, no person answers, so he decides to keep it. On Hijikataken's 16th birthday he receives a very interesting gift at his door. He immediately opens it in front of his mother to reveal a kindo stick. He is very grateful for it even though he has no idea who it is from, but somehow, his mother seems to as she stares at the label on on the gift. "Soul Society."

When he graduated from High School Hijikataken decided to move to America for a while to experience something new. His mother is very supportive and it is a hard thing for him to do by leaving her, but he feels it is the right thing to do. Two years go by, Hijikataken and his mother have been in contact oversees via letters and phone. Neither have seen the other in person yet and Hijikataken decides it is time for him to come home. His mother is excited and she books him a flight to his hometown. On his way to his home, Hijikataken grabs a bouquet of flowers for his mother to show her he did miss her. As he opens the door to his house he sees a horrific thing. A white masked human-like creature standing over his mother's lifeless body. The monster roars in laughter as he sees Hijikataken walk in. He taunts Hijikataken as he inches forward transforming himself into a human with part of his old mask still on his face. Hijikataken yells in anger and grabs the kindo stick still in his home and rushes forward not knowing what he is doing. The man laughs and lunges forward transforming back into the creature.

The beast rips and tears through Hijikataken, but he continues to fight the lost battle. Just before the creature can end it by devouring him, a familiar figure rushes in and cuts the beast down. Hijikataken has lost a large sum of blood and before he can see who it was, he dies. He awakens to find himself in the Seireite of the Soul Society. The man who saved his soul from being devoured and saved him from the old man, is his father. A soul reaper in the Gotei 13. Many years ago he traveled to the human world and met Hijikataken's mother, which whom he fell in love with. Just before Hijikataken was born, he was called back to the Soul Society. The beast who killed Hijikataken and devoured his mother's soul was an Arrancar. Hijikataken wasn't able to deal with the grief of his loss and became angry with his father for not coming sooner. As time passed, he forgave his father and was persuaded to join the Soul Academy. He trained for many years and on the day of his graduation, his father was sent to Hueco Muendo to investigate the Arrancars as he was a part of the Research and Development in Soul Society. Days later, word got back that he had been killed by the Hollows and Arrancars in the area. It is his loyal duty to the Soul Society that Hijikataken eliminates the Arrancars to avenge what has been lost.

Be more specific. Often when people say they have complete manipulation over something, it turns out to be quite overpowered. What exactly can you do with darkness?

I want to approve this, but the darkness thing seems quite sketchy to me. For instance, we know how strong ice is, and what it does to an opponent. We know how strong fire is, and what it can do to an opponent. We know how strong diamonds are, and what they can do to an opponent. How strong is darkness, and what does it to your opponent?

Basically, you're saying that the darkness impaled your opponent. Well, what happens after that? Does he get crushed? Teleported somewhere? Killed? Trapped? What does the impalement do, and to what extent?
And what about these clones that emerge from the shadows? I think that the shooting of the black rose and the darkness impalement should be shikai, and the clones and dragon rage should be bankai. Because all of this together seems abit op.
