Pillars Stand (Private Sakura and Tyler)

The breeze felt nice this time of day, right around noon with a clear sky and the sun shining brightly. Despite the fact that Tyler should have been in school, he instead lay beneath a sakura tree, its pink petals blowing softly through the air. It was a quiet day, finally. One that did not require work, nor training. No plans had been made this day, except for relaxation and a calming break from his much needed stress routine.

Pulling out a piece of paper, clipboard, and pencil from the bag that lay next to him, Tyler flipped on his stomach, and looked around, trying to find something to sketch. Finally, he settled on a unique picture idea, using the fountain in the park and angling it so that he had a very nice view of the town behind it, coupled with trees and flowers. He grinned at the prospect of a decent challenge to draw, and quickly sharpened the pencil, before brushing the petals off his paper and began drawing.

A field trip, a time for kids to go berserk and have fun, while learning and staying somewhat civilized for their teachers. Today, the school thought that it would be fun that for gym class, the kids could come out to the park and have a little recess like they did back when they were little kids. Although for most this was a good idea, it was an absolute horror for the new student Sakura Odori. On the bus ride there she sat there all by herself hiding her odd natural pink hair beneath a midnight black beanie, not letting even a lock of her hair fall out from it. To go with that black beanie she had the simple school uniform that every one else wore; a simple button up white shirt with a pocket on the right hand side, a red bow right between the collar, a simple grey skirt with many ruffles, brown loafers, and white knee length socks.

Finally after what seemed like hours the bus ride ended, and Sakura headed off in a single file line outside. Being the new kid sucks! This thought ran through her head over and over, as she walked off away from the group to a solitary bench, to just sit down and think.

The sounds of children yelling and screaming woke Tyler from his trance, pencil pausing on the piece of paper he was sketching on, drawing half finished. Looking up towards the park enterance, his face slowly took on one of horror, as he slowly watched his classmates climb out of a bus one after another. It never failed it seemed, the strange twist of fate that lady luck took him through. Luckily enough, he had worn his normal school outfit, something that could be construed as he was on release or something due to his grades.

He stood up and brushed his jeans off, leaving his untucked white dress shirt hanging, and loosened his ie even more. School or not, they were told to look decent, and a tie normally did it. throwing a grey suit jacket over his shoulder, Tyler quickly picked up his stuff and tried to slide behind the trees and benches, hoping to avoid his class and teachers.

The sounds of kids laughing and talking attracted the attention of Leon as he walked down the road beside the park. A bus stood a few yards in front of him and a class of children streamed off, chatting and goofing around. It was a nice day out which made it perfect for this little escapade that the teachers had planned for the students. Leon found it hard to watch as he walked by. He hadn't been to school since he was five and he had never had any friends. Just seeing these kids made him want to go off and throw up somewhere. His life was horrible. All because of this damned ability he had...

Movement caught the corner of Leon's eye. He turned to see a school boy hiding behind a tree. It seemed that he was trying to stay out of sight but that couldn't be right. Leon started walking towards the boy, putting thoughts of his ability and crappy life out his mind. As he got closer he saw that the boy had a clipboard with paper on it and also a pencil. It looked like he had been drawing before all these kids had showed up. Whatever he was doing Leon was going to find out.

The tree loomed above Leon as he moved around to the side of it and appeared behind the boy. He reached out and tapped his shoulder, hoping not to scare him too bad. If he did scare the boy there was the high chance of him getting punched in the face and that was something he didn't want to happen. He couldn't deal with a black eye on a day like this.

A flamingo amongst a flock of pigeons. This is what she was to these kids. Not only because of her physical characteristics, her pink hair, but also because of something else; something that put her worlds apart from the other students. She could see spirits, death gods, and all sorts of other scary things; yet none of this frightened her. It just brought more challenges to her life, but she has already decided that she will not fear any of these spiritual beings; for even though she was human she had powers to help defend herself, and when her powers failed her, her will would stay strong. A flamingo amongst a flock of pigeons, and versus a bunch of raptors; but this flamingo will live.

These thoughts kept her going as she took slow steps towards the solitary bench. As she got there her mind began to wander, probably due to her A.D.D., as she stood there she marveled over the simplicity of the bench; it was a plain wooden bench that just had a place to sit and too wooden planks glued on to keep it up, and to go with this crudeness was a horrible white paint job. Again her mind wandered, as she carefully placed herself on the bench; her mind wandered to her powers.

The ability to change anything about her body, she didn't completely understand this, but she did understand that this gave her an advantage. This advantage, could be used for various things; personal gain, to defend others, or just for her own amusement. She could care less which one she used it for, it's not like she had a rule book she had to follow; other than her powers sapping her energy, she could do anything she chose with them.

With that thought entering her mind she smiled, maybe I should have some fun. Her brilliant blue eyes scanned the area, until the fell upon two boys that she could barely see due to the distance between them. Two blobs that were in for a world of suprise. With a simple twist of her hand, she pulled off her beanie and placed it beside her on the bench, letting her pink hair fall down and fall down her back.

A breath of air, for now it was time for fun. Time to use her powers, time to see what she could do. With relative ease, Sakura's arms began to transform; they began to become longer in length almost looking like whips yet they still had her hands attached. Another breath of air, her arms began to become longer and longer until they reached down to the two boys, with a little energy she lifted up both hands and whacked the boy who wasn't wearing a uniform. With that accomplished she quickly made her arms came back to their normal length; within seconds they were back to there normal length, yet this brought incredible pain to Sakura.

Her eyes began to water, as her arms gave an audible pop from the strain. That wasn't the best idea i ever had, she thought as she blowed the hair out of her eyes, with a simple gust of air from her mouth.
