He is physically very muscular and his cream colored skin has a very slight orange-red tint. One of the most notable features about Arthas is his eyes, one of which is blue and the other a piercing green. His right hand is still fully usable, and strong, but has a long, curved superficial scar from a long ago battle. Also, he wears an interesting suit of armor; he has several metal plates, and is otherwise adorned in medieval looking attire, which he wears under his captain’s haksho.

Personality: Arthas is normally a calm, sympathetic individual. He cares deeply for his squad and for those he works with, and will always be willing to talk to someone who needs help. However, his passions have often lead him astray. Though he is an Elder captain, and one of the strongest, in many ways he is young beyond his years. He behaves immaturely, and sometimes even naively. His greatest shortcoming is how much he cares for his fellow shinigami, particularly those in squad 7. He feels personally responsible whenever one of his squad members fall, and feels it is his duty to protect them. This heartfelt love for his squad member has sometimes lead him to times of great anger, particularly when the other captains told him his passions and anger were wrong, and that he should not treat the death of such squad members as such a great loss. If he feels something or someone threatens his ideals or his squad members, or harms them he takes it upon himself to hunt them to the ends of the earth, no matter who or what it may be.

Zanpakuto Name: Frostmourne

Zanpakuto Looks: http://www.raisonsbrassband.com/images/images_big/w026.jpg when unreleased Frostmourne appears to be a standard medieval claymore, which is out of place with the general Kantana form of most captains’ sword. He wears his Zanpakuto slung across his back, instead of at his hip.

Released Zanpakuto Description: Frostmourne is a blade of great evil, and its corruption has reached the point where it emits a dark purple glow once released an image of the blade: https://2img.net/r/ihimizer/img147/9590/frostju5.png This is ironic as Arthas' personality is very different from the evil emitted by the sword, and to this extent he is reluctant to release it, despite the fact that it is an incrReleased Zanpakuto Abilities:edibly powerful sword. He never releases it in public, and only when he deems it absolutely necessary.

Release Phrase: "Hunger, Frostmourne."

Death storm: Gathering power into frostmourne, Arthas points the blade at his target, and releases a blast of blackish - green energy that is similar to a cero that creates a pillar of destructive energy as it launches toward his target.

Death Coil: Arthas creates a bright green ball of dark energy in his hands, and hurls it towards is opponent, draining their life energy, and some reaitsu upon contact, which is drained back to Arthas, healing wounds he has incurred. The power of this is equivalent to a level 65 hadou.

Soul Cleave: Charges Frostmourne with energy, causing the blade to gain a blue glow surrounding it, and give his next strike exponentially greater power. (He must hold his blade out in front of him and charge it for a few seconds first) This strike also vastly increases his striking range, by nearly 5 feet around the blade, making it hard to side-step or dodge.

Unholy Flesh: Frostmourne, as its name suggest, has some ice attributes. One of these is the ability to freeze over Arthas' skin, but beyond this, make him appear to be dead. His skin becomes purple, as if frostbitten, and he lose his need to breath, or the need to pump blood. Despite this Arthas is very much alive, and can stiill be harmed as any normal being would, just attacks which specifically poison or decay at internal organs will not affect him as they would affect an 'alive' being. The upside to this, is that Frost, and ice techniques have less effect on him. However, fire and light kido and abilities have highly increased power against his skin. Immunizes Arthas to any cold weather above -60 degrees Fahrenheit, and then below -60 degrees Fahrenheit, will begin to feel temperature starting from 65 degrees (so if an opponent reduces temp by 200 degrees from current temp of 80, Arthas would feel that as a 5 degree temperature) Takes reduced damage from ice/wind kido up to 75, and increased damage from from fire/light kido and abilities up to 75

Plagued Blade: Passive: Frostmourne’s dark magic and spirit cause it to gradually weaken its opponents upon contact. If the released blade ever cuts the opponents skin, it slows him or her down, and weakens them, by about 10% per hit. If the blade stabs the target and remains in them for more than a whole second, it slows them down and weakens their physical strength and stamina by almost 25 % in addition to basic impairments caused by the wound. These effects last 4 posts UNLESS compounded (the effects stack, so if you were struck once one post, and then struck again 2 posts later, the time to have any of it fade would be reset to 4 posts)

Released Zanpakuto Looks: http://www.gamepulsive.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/frostmourne.jpg The blade is long, and thick. It has a jagged edge on one side, and a smooth one on the other. Markings trail up the entire blade. One of the most notable aspects of the blade are the skull adornments on the hilt. The eyes of the skulls glow blue, and the blade is shrouded in indigo-blue light when Arthas holds it.

Zanpakuto Spirit: The spirit of frostmourne looks like a green hunched over figure, who appears to be diseased and dying. Despite this fact, the blade actually prefers it this way, saying his sickly condition is the source of his strenght. He is entirely green, save for the fact that he has white eyes and a white looking skull painted over his face.

Bankai Name: Sindragosa Frostmourne

Bankai Description:Sindragosa Frostmourne. Arthas plunges Frostmourne into the ground, and summons a giant, Skeletal Dragon, glowing blue eyes, and bat like wings. The dragons name is Sindragosa. The Dragon is completely obedient to Arthas’ will. Arthas, after summoning the Dragon, is able to still wield Frostmourne. He generally will then mount the dragons back, and use it to attack his enemies. The dragon communicates telepathically with Arthas, and does not need verbal or physical orders. Sindragosa while in flight, can almost match the speed of shunpo. Sindragosa has several abilities including: Iceblock: a binding type ability, Sindragosa is able to shoot an opponent with frost energy, making them frozen in a block of ice for 4 posts. While within the block of ice, they cannot be harmed, but cannot do anything. He also can breathe frost energy in front of him, in a large cone structure. This freezes enemies, and deals very severe damage to all caught in its wake. He can give a powerful beat of his wings, generating a huge gust, capable of sending lesser opponents flying. Also, he can fill these winds with hundreds of shards of ice, which are capable of cutting, and biting at Arthas’ opponents, creating a veritable blizzard. He also has great physical strength, capable of smashing through buildings with ease, and swiping enemies aside with his massive claws. Generally captain/espada class opponents can block Sindragosa’s claws, albeit with great difficulty, but most lower than those ranks will have severe trouble doing so. His final, most lethal ability is called deep breath. Sindragosa will fly several hundred feet in the air, gather all his strength, and creates a giant ball of blue reaitsu. The ball moves fairly slowly, and takes about 4-5 seconds to hit the ground. However, anything within about 200 feet of the balls epicenter will be completely frozen over, causing instantaneous flash freezing to any being hit by the wave. After being frozen in this manner, none (except those with power many times greater than that of a captain) can escape and survive. Anyone with protection in the way, will have that protection generally destroyed, and still be chilled, and hurt by the blast, and if the protection is not sufficient, death is still probable. Anyone 200 feet or more away, will probably survive but still be effected by the blast wave. This attack can only be used once per release, and after using this, Sindragosa can only use physical attacks from that point forward. Arthas can also, while in bankai, use an ability called 'Death Pact' Should his situation become desperate. By using this, it immediately destroys his bankai, summons, and returns his zanpakutou to its sealed state, in which it is locked for the next week. However, In exchange, all of his wounds are instantly healed, and 50% of his reaitsu is restored.

Description: The user charges kido energy into their fist, and then lunges forward, attempting to punch the target. The energy causes the fist to glow a strange blue, and then turn into something that looks almost like a ghost. Upon punching the target, the target will become tranparent, and be 'banished' from the plane of reality. The target is able to move, however any attacks, techniques etc. they try to perform will have no effect on anyone in the plane of reality. However, should the user miss, their hand instead is banished, thus making the technique risky to use. This effect can last anywhere from a few minutes to several hours, depending on the targets reaitsu. (3-12 posts)

Incantation: The Necromancers will arise, and be reborn in Darkness. Unholy legions spill forth from the bowels of the earth, consuming all in their path. Darkness spreads over, a ghastly shadow of death is cast. Note- this does not effect the caster.

Name: Heavenly grenade

Description: The user recites the incantation, and then rapidly gestures 20-30 times at various points surrounding the target. At each of these points a bright, dense ball of golden Kido energy will appear. After all the points of have been selected, the user clenches his fist, and the balls home in and descend on the target, creating a massive explosion. Even if the target moves, the attacks will follow him or her for a certain distance before exploding.
Incantation: Heaven’s fury comes crashing forth, god’s anger is shown. Beads of sweat emerge of the stars as the heavens and earth alike tremble before the untimely wrath of creation and destruction alike, and the universe cries out as its power collides into a single divine point.

Incantation: The Army of the blessed descends from the clouds. In their fury, 10,000 divine beings strike out, a single powerful lash destroying the heartless

Name: Big Bang

Description: After reciting a long incantation, the user causes the area around him for a hundred yards, to be cosmically reoriented. This reorientation creates a mighty explosion, which effects everything within the radius of the blast, the closer to the casters position the more damaging it is. At the epicenter, it is borderline impossible to survive without any protection, at the edge it could easily dispatch weaker enemies. However, if the user does not control the technique perfectly, or does not have enough strength left to perform it, it can backfire, killing the user.
Incantation: The universe collides at a billion tiny stars, consumed into one point. Matter is changed, and life and time are created anew. As change occurs, the positive and negative of the world, fuse and become one. The emperor's of the skies and world are destroyed, as the cataclysm ravages the world.

Techniques:

Technique Name: Blade Wall
Technique Type: Zanjutsu
Degree of difficulty: Expert
Description: Using two hands, in addition to his reaitsu, Arthas spins his sword in front of him rapidly, so rapidly that it generates a blue wall of reaitsu as the blade spins. This wall of reaitsu is very strong, and is capable of blocking almost any physical attack, along with hadou up to level 80. The downside to this technique is it forces his wrists to bend at an unnatural angle, therefore he must stand still while performing it. once per two post cooldown.

Technique Name: Mirror Image
Technique Type: Movement/Zanjutsu
Degree of difficulty: Master
Description: A master level sword skill, where, by using zanjutsu effectively in combination with quick movements, the fighter incorporates miniature flash steps into his combat routine, which, when used perfectly, cause there to appear to be an after image left after each blow that continues the motion. The user needs to be able to reverse and halt strikes as quickly as he makes them, which is why it requires great skill in swordsmanship. This can be used to disorient opponents, or to even sneak behind an enemies back without them being able to realize it until a moment

Technique Name: Air Wall
Technique Type: Zanjutsu
Degree of difficulty: Intermediate-Master
Description: A commonly used technique amongst the higher ranks of the Seireitei's military. This requires a significant amount of reaitsu to be able to perform, however, is not terribly draining. By gathering ones reaitsu, and peaking it as they make a swing, the combatant can create a wall of pure-reaitsu filled air shoot out from the tip of his blade. Depending on the strength of the combatant, and their reaitsu control, this can be merely intimidating, or can become equivalent to a forceful shockwave that can hurl enemies back significantly. When used against foes significantly weaker than oneself (such as a captain dealing with a mass of low-level hollows) it can be used to decimate large numbers very quickly, with minimal effort.

History: Arthas grew up in Rukongai district 4 and was born into a noble house. Since a young age, he felt a deep since of concern and sympathy for those who worked and lived under the noble family. By age 4, he knew everyone within his houses name, and was well liked by all. As a member of such a noble house, he was expected to become a captain, and did not disappoint. He went to the soul reaper academy at very young age of 11, and in just 4 years, graduated. Despite the fact that he seem to be a jack of all trades, and was a source of envy for many of the elder members of the academy at the time, he was still well-liked due to his amiable, friendly, and ultimately charismatic personality personality. . Though admired and liked by his fellow students, his academy instructors however, were annoyed by his strong sense of justice, and his genuine concern for each and every shinigami. Even at a young age he was an idealist. He envisioned a world in which no longer would souls suffer within the rukongai, where no shinigami would die in battle against hollows, and where no human would die before their time due to such creatures. When told about how it was sometimes necessary to sacrifice many shinigami in battle to attain a higher goal, he grew furious with the instructor. He believed that all shinigami's lives were to be valued, and not taken so lightly. Though this caused much anger amongst the administration of the academy, they could not keep someone with Arthas' talent from graduating. He joined the Gotei 13 at the age of fifteen, as a member of squad 7. The members of squad 7 were impressed with his combat prowess, especially in someone so young, and just 3 years later he became a lieutenant. He never revealed his released zanpakutou to anyone unnecessarily, and the few who did see it talked about it for years afterward. For the next few centuries, he trained privately and became very skilled with the sword, despite his hatred of its evil and its form. At 150, he unlocked bankai, and trained with it for hundreds of years afterward, despite his distaste for his own sword. At age 700, he finally became a captain, a position that should have been his long ago.However, he was very passionate about what he deemed to be 'justice' and would almost blindly follow his passions, or his desires for revenge. Over his time as a captain, he has become increasingly skilled with Frostmourne, though few still remain alive who have ever seen its shikai state, let alone its bankai. Whenever he is training with a member of his squad or another, he has been noted to refuse to release the blade, saying that his zanpakuto is not to be released so leniently. His generally amiable personality makes him one of the most beloved captains amongst his underlings, most of whom think squad seven is the best squad to be in because of its leadership. Throughout his life, however, a single thing has weighed heavily on his shoulders. One of his best friends from the rukongai, died in action and Arthas had been seconds away from saving him. As a lieutenant, he was able to easily dispatch the hollow, but ever since he has blamed himself for his friends death, which is why he feels he has a personal duty to protect all those weaker than him.

RP Sample: The rain began to fall quite suddenly, the clouds above the Seireitei able to hold the water no longer. Arthas glanced up at the sky, a drop of the now fast falling rain water hitting the center of his forehead. He drew his gaze back to the ground in front of him. He continued walking. As captain of the seventh division he had been sent to resolve the conflict which had emerged between the 69th and the 70th division. He heard the sounds of violence coming from the nearby two districts, and realized that the unrest was far greater than the Seireitei had believed. He quickly used shunpo to ascend the nearby ridge, and looked down upon a grim scene. Bodies were scattered everywhere in the 70th district, the 69th had launched a surprise attack, and bodies of women and children lined the streets alongside those of men. Anger stirred in Arthas’ heart. What was the need for this senseless conflict? What did it bring but harm to those involved, and to those who did not wish to be? He clenched his fists. He would stop this violence here, and now. No more innocents need die. Using shunpo, he arrived in the middle of the fray, where a group of 70th members were making a stand. As the two sides began to clash Arthas called out “Hadou Number 25, Searing Light” A blinding light shot forth from the captains location, and he heard screams of fear and surprise from the stunned combatants. As the blinded Rukongai citizens began to get their bearings Arthas stood in the middle of them, shaking with rage. In a voice laced with hot fury he yelled to the fighters who surrounded him “Have you learned nothing? What good does this senseless violence bring? War only brings torment, sorrow and loss to all involved. Surely you all must understand the pain of loss, and yet you only inflict more of it upon yourselves through your actions. You disgust me.” He was on the verge of crying now. “If we war amongst ourselves, we are no better than hollows. For our brutality destroys our conscience and if we allow our hatred to overstep our morality, how are we better than they? Look around you. What good has come of this, this sickening violence?” Members of both sides, who had recently regained their vision, began to look down shamefully, and shuffle their feet. Arthas sighed, and hoped his message had gotten through to them. “Members of the 69th return to your district. There’s been enough bloodshed for one day.” As the attacking force began to collect their weapons and walk out of the district Arthas looked up once again. The rain poured forth from the heavens, as if the sky itself was crying. He was glad for the rain, for it disguised his tears. It would not do for the members of the Rukongai to see a captain crying.
