Basic Information

Name: Mori Hirato

Age: Appeared age: 12 Actual age: 120

Gender: Male

Division: 7

Seat: Lieutenant (Have Permission)

Looks:
Spoiler:
Hirato is a kid no more then 12 years old. He is five feet tall and weighs about 100 pounds. He is very thin and he has almost no muscle mass. However, he is very toned. He looks athletic and agile, but not powerful. His body isn’t scared. Unlike many higher ranked officers, he does not seem to have much battle experience. He almost never smiles, and rarely shows emotion. His stare is vacant, as if he is looking right through whatever he is focused on.

His hair is naturally bright green, straight and spiky. He has two long bangs that go all the way down along the sides of his face, one bang that falls between his eyes and one that is brushed off to the side just above his left eye. The top of his hair forms spikes going off in different directions. His hair is tucked behind his ear only on the left side. In the back down it waves slightly to follow the curve of his neck, and goes down half way to his shoulders. It looks styled, however it just naturally sits that way.

His eyes are brown with a green undertone. They seem to stand out next to his bright green hair and his flawless white skin. His hands are small and fragile looking, but if you look closely you will notice that the inside and outside of his knuckles are heavily calloused.

When he is focused on a fight, his eyes become fixed and cold. His purple reiatsu builds up around him and he always takes his shoes off, as he finds them uncomfortable to run in. He is left handed naturally, but has trained with both of his swords to the point where he is almost ambidextrous.

He wears the standard shinigami uniform along with the standard wooden sandals and has his both of his swords sheathed on his right side. Attached to his belt, they both nearly touch the ground. His lieutenant pendant is scaled down and is worn on each wrist as a bracelet. When in a gigi, he likes to wear black skinny jeans, a t-shirt and occasionally some form of jacket.

Alignment: Chaotic Good.

Personality: Hirato is very detached from the world around him. He walks as if his mind is in a different world. He cannot keep a straight line and often gets very close to walking into nearby objects. He is usually humming a song to himself, his head swaying side to side in perfect rhythm. He gets bored very easily and tends to get distracted. He doesn’t remember most of the names of the people he encounters and finds most shinigami boring. However, when Hirato finds someone who sparks his interest, he instantly becomes a loyal and trustworthy friend.

As you can imagine, Hirato doesn’t like to pay attention to what is going on around him. He finds life, and most of the soul society incredibly boring. He often will be found zoning out in the middle of conversations, lieutenant meetings, and even battles. This often gets him into lots of trouble, however he doesn’t care. Surprisingly enough, when Hirato finds something that genuinely interests him, he will give it his undivided attention.

The arrancar is the main thing that completely and utterly fascinates him. He finds the concept of having a hybrid of two species genius. He feels that the aarancar are the best of both worlds. They have a great power, yet aren't as violent or stupid as most hollows. He also is amazed by the sheer fighting force of the arrancar. Because of this interest, he will never turn down an opportunity to meet, fight or examine an arrancar. His being vizared is what causes this interest.

He doesn’t make it commonly known that he is a vizard. This is not because he thinks that it is supposed to be a secret, it is because nobody has ever asked. He doesn’t think it is a big deal and actually thinks that many people are vizard like he is.

Hirato often likes to walk around the poorer districts of the rukongai and just help out where he is needed. He just feels more at home, especially in the 75th district of west rukongai. He also likes to go to the shops in the third district of northern rukongai. He rarely buys anything, as he doesn’t keep good track of his money.

Essentially, Hirato is an easily board child with a pure heart. He has good intentions, but often gets distracted before he can put them to use. Because of this he has few loyal subordinates, but the ones he has are of great quality. He is fascinated with the hybrids between shinigami and hollow, and is a vizard.

Zanpakuto Information

Zanpakuto Name: Ryu Doku

Zanpaktou Theme: Double Zanpaktou; poison

Unreleased Zankpaktou Appearance
Spoiler:

The Zanpaktou for the most part looks like two ordinary katana. Both have cloth around the hilt for grip, covering all but a line of diamond shaped openings down the center. One sword’s hilt is a dark red while the other is black. The guard on both swords is a circle. The katana with the red hilt has a wave pattern going down the blade.

Zanpaktou Release Phrase: He holds both katana backhanded with the blades pointing towards the ground and says, “Envenom, Ryu Doku” When releasing he can either chose to release with blades or without. Regardless of his choice he can detach or regrow the blades at will.

Released Zanpakuto Looks:
Spoiler:
After the release Ryu Doku changes into two fist weapons with three clawlike blades, each protruding between the knuckles. You grip the weapon like one would grip brass knuckles. There is a grip on the top of each weapon that appears to look like unprocessed wood, however is a dark gray color. Right in front of where each knuckle rests the Zanpaktou forms a peak looking a little like the top of a raindrop. The body of the Zanpaktou appears to be a grayish color while the blades look much like steel

The claws consist of three blades residing between the ring middle and index knuckle. There is a slight dull curve upwards from where the blade starts, but after that they are curved inwards and are double edged. Each of the three blades has two identical cuts. They are almost opposite each other (from top to bottom), but are offset (from front to back) by an inch. They are C shaped cuts and are used to grab or hook on to different objects.

Another thing to note is that when released, Ryu Doku’s reiatsu becomes red.

Released Zanpaktou Abilities: Ryu Doku’s main ability is to create and transmit poison. While in Shikai, Ryu doku contains two types of poison. The cloaw on the left claw contains a poison that targets the enemies nervous system. The claw on the right contains poison that targets the victim’s senses. The third and final poison targets the opponents ability to for reitsu and is created by adding a large amount of reitsu to either of the previously mentioned poisons. These poisons are transmitted through open wound contact with any of the blades. Ryu Doku can also detach his blades at will. By channeling a small amount of reiatsu into the Zanpaktou the blades will grow back almost instantaneously.

Zanpakuto Spirit:
Spoiler:
Appearance: Ryu Doku is actually two spirits named Ryu and Doku. They are both identical, with the exception of their eyes, young black dragons. Ryu has red eyes and Doku has blue ones. As far as black dragons go, they have a lot of purple in their skin tone. They have spikes going down from the top of their neck to their tail. They have pterodactyl like wings that split into three layers in the back. The top two layers go off and form a spike at the top and bottom of the end of each wing. The front of the wing also converges into a spike, curving downward. They have a triangular shaped face with a spike right on top of the snout. They have two horns and many tendril looking spikes on the back of their neck. They have three spikes, curving downward on the sides of their necks. Their claws possess all the abilities of Ryu Doku’s shikai. Their reitsu is red, however their eyes glow bright yellow when angry. They appear to be muscular, and the only sign of their supposed youth is their small size. They are around 8 feet long from head to tail.

Personality:
Ryu is very cynical. Ryu is stubborn and impolite. When brought out or talked to he will say something along the lines of, “what now”. He often criticises Hirato’s idealistic views and thinks that Hirato’s wandering mind is his biggest fault. Due to this, Ryu considers him incompetent. Despite all this, Ryu has a strange sense of attachment to Hirato. He thinks of him like a father does a young child, talking down to him while only trying to help. Ryu often will give Hirato good advice that Hirato will often ignore or forget. Ryu doesn’t think that his job as Zanpaktou is to make Hirato happy. Ryu thinks that it is his duty, as a Zanpaktou, to make sure that he is safe.

Doku is quiet and timid. He rarely talks, but makes his emotions known, much like a puppy or small child. When scared he will gather close to Hirato or Ryu. When happy his facial expressions will vaguely resemble a smile and he will sometimes rub his head against Hirato. When sad he will slouch and recede away from nearby people. Basically he communicates through his actions. Doku enjoys being petted and rolls around on the floor to scratch his back. Where Ryu has a father son relationship with Hirato, Doku has a boy to dog relationship with him. Doku always is able to cheer Hirato up, and is always there for him when he needs someone. Doku has a very similar thought process as Hirato, leading them to occasionally be thinking of the same random thing at the same time. Due to this they can almost predict perfectly what the other is thinking.

Zanpakuto Realm:

Spoiler:
Hirato’s inner realm is the inside of a cave. The roof appears to be made of a mixture of Ice and rock, while the floor is usually flooded, with only a few islands of solid land. This realm is constantly changing size and shape as Hirato constantly changes in state of mind, but one thing always remains the same. Near the center of the cave, offset a little to the right, light always seems to leak in through the semi-transparent ice roof. Ryu and Doku often complain about the lack of room to fly in this world.

When Hirato is in a focused state of meditation (which almost never happens) the cave is completely dry. They ground is full of tall grass. What appeared as islands now stand as huge mountains. In this state the roof is miles and miles above the ground. Ryu Doku much prefers this environment.

Bankai Information

Hirato is able to materilize and subjugate his Zanpaktou however, putting him in the final stage of unlocking bankai.

Techniques:

Technique Name: Air Wall
Technique Type: Zanjutsu
Degree of difficulty: Intermediate-Master
Description: A commonly used technique amongst the higher ranks of the Seireitei's military. This requires a significant amount of reaitsu to be able to perform, however, is not terribly draining. By gathering ones reaitsu, and peaking it as they make a swing, the combatant can create a wall of pure-reaitsu filled air shoot out from the tip of his blade. Depending on the strength of the combatant, and their reaitsu control, this can be merely intimidating, or can become equivalent to a forceful shockwave that can hurl enemies back significantly. When used against foes significantly weaker than oneself (such as a captain dealing with a mass of low-level hollows) it can be used to decimate large numbers very quickly, with minimal effort.

Technique Name: Shunpo
Technique Type: Movement
Degree of difficulty: Intermediate-Master
Description: a movement technique that allows the user to move faster than the eye can follow. The focal point that determines the basis of this technique is speed. As speed is the main point of the technique the method is best characterized by how fast one can get from point A to point B in the least amount of steps. Training and skill are what determines how fast a user of Shunpo can move; those of little skill in the technique or those who haven't used it an extended amount of time would obviously be out of practice, causing those individuals to be considerably slower, which requires the use of more steps to move the same distance and become winded far easier in a shorter amount of time.

Technique Name: Blade Shot.
Technique Type: Zanpaktou/Zanjutsu
Degree of difficulty: Shikai/intermediate
Description: By concentrating and releasing reitsu behind Ryu Doku’s blades before detaching, Hirato can fire off the three blades (per hand) as fast moving projectiles. These blades are still poisoned, and therefore Hirato uses this to poison enemies at a range, or poison multiple enemies at once. Hirato can fire off and regrow the blades once per second allowing him to shoot 6(both claws included) projectiles per second. Sustaining a barrage for more then ten seconds (60 shots) puts huge strain in Hirato and a barrage of 15 (90 shots) is his absolute maximum. After a barrage of that length, Hirato cannot regrow the blades of his Zanpaktou for one post.

The shots themselves move at the same speed as a bala from an arrancar and use a similar amount of reitsu.

When his mask is active, these shots are much faster and he can fire more. They go at twice the speed and he can fire twice as many as usual.

Technique Name: Overpowering Strike
Technique Type: Shikai/Zanjutsu
Degree of difficulty: Beginner
Description: Hirato gathers reitsu where the blades of his Zanpaktou previously were and attacks with a powerful punch. Hirato only uses this attack when he means no serious harm or when his claws are forcibly detached for a longer period of time (after releasing a long barrage of blade shots.) The force of the blow would be equivalent to the force of a level 32 kido.

Technique Name: Shibire Doku
Technique Type: Poison
Degree of difficulty: Shikai
Description: The poison within the left blade hinders ones nervous system, causing them to slowly become very lethargic and clumsy. It takes six doses (the amount stored in 12 blades, four direct hits) for the full effects to occur. At one dose it slows movement, shunpo and reaction speed by 5%. Two doses slow movement, shunpo and reaction speed by 10%. Each additional dose adds another 5% to the amount slowed. This caps at six doeses where the total amount slowed is 30% While under the full effects of this poison, the subject starts to loose control of their motor skills and cannot write, talk or draw effectively.

Technique Name: Gensoku Doku
Technique Type: Poison
Degree of difficulty: Shikai
Description: Gensoku Doku is the poison contained in Ryuu Doku’s right claw. It is a very fast acting poison with a delay. It takes a very tiny amount for the effects to start. After contracting the poison (even a small cut from the right claw is enough) the user will notice nothing. This poison has such a delay that poison will remain dormant for 2 posts. After that amount of time (that the poison has sufficiently spread to the brain) the poison will activate, impairing the subject’s senses. The infected will now have a a slight (a second or so) delay on everything it sees, feels, hears, smells or senses. This throws them off in combat, giving Hirato a big advantage. This effect is does not last forever as after four posts the enemies brain will adapt, nullifying the effects.

Technique Name: Hīringu Doku.
Technique Type: Poison
Release: Shikai
Description: Hīringu Doku is an unorthodox poison used by Hirato to bolster his immune system. As soon as Ryu Doku is released Hirato contracts this poison. Hīringu Doku is essentially a passive ability that cures most, if not all poisons and diseases that Hirato contracts. Hirato can use this technique on others through contact with the handle portion of his Zanpacktou, however he usually forgets to unless reminded. When used on anybody but Hirato, the poison will wear off in three posts (due to a lack of contact with Ryu Doku).

Hīringu Doku, once inside Hirato, attacks all foreign or threatening entities inside of his bloodstream. Hīringu Doku forms a small wall around any virus or poison, segregating and stopping it from spreading. Hīringu Doku will then slowly break down the poison and have it completely removed in 1-3 posts (depending on the strength.) Hirato does not feel the effects of this poison during this period of time. If the poison is uncurable, Hīringu Doku will encapsulate (completely segregate it) it, and move it up to the throat. After this (the next post), Hirato will throw up, expelling the strong poison from his body.

The downside to this technique is that while it is activated, Hirato cannot be healed by kido, or any other spiritual means.

History and RP Sample

History:
Life and Death Arc part 1:
Hirato was born roughly 65 years before the events of this story into an upper middle class family in Japan. He was always smart for his age, learning how to walk at 5 months and speaking full sentences by 9. He seemed to be thinking constantly, never about the same thing for more then a few minutes. His parents cared for and loved him more then the world itself. It was a time of peace, and the world seemed to be fine.

At the age of two, he had a pretty average life. His dad worked from 8-5, and he had a stay at home mom. Hirato spent most of his time talking to his mom. He usually just spewed random chains of sentences, but his mom didn’t mind. She just enjoyed listening to his adorable voice. Hirato always asked his mom questions. He always asked how things work (phrased more along the lines of, “why do the lights turn on, mommy”). Even if his mom did not know the answer, he did not mind. He would rather find out the answer on his own then have someone tell him anyway. By the time of his third birthday, he knew many nearly three times as many random facts then the average three year old (which still wasn’t that many).

His third birthday was a big day for Hirato. He was three years old, after all; he was one step closer to being a “big kid”. He was blindfolded (to keep the party a surprise of course) and loaded into the booster seat in his parents BMW X5. Feeling independent (it was his third birthday after all) he got out of the booster seat, sat in the middle, and buckled himself in. His parents were okay with it, just this once. They drove off. They took a few turns, and soon drove up the onramp up to the highway. The sign said the speed limit was 60, however Hirato’s parents were easily going 125 miles per hour. Nobody appeared to be on the road, and all was fine. Hirato took off his blindfold, to better see his surroundings. Everything seemed normal, the sun was just rising, and the road was empty. Suddenly, as if it appeared out of nowhere Hirato saw the strangest thing out the side window. A man in a black robe with bright blue hair was running alongside the car. Hirato observed this strange man for quite a while. Even though he was running at nearly 125 mph, he did not seem to be exerting himself whatsoever. He had two katana sheathed on the right side of his belt, both with the most ornate handles Hirato had ever seen. The man pulled out what looked like a cell phone from his pocket. Glanced down, looking a little bit startled. A purple aura formed around him and before Hirato knew it, he was gone.

Life and Death Arc part 2:
Hirato’s party was amazing. It was at the local park, his entire preschool class was there (not that he cared) as was most of his family. There were entertainers (none of which actually entertained Hirato) and more food then everyone could eat. There was a station for kids to get their face painted and a candy man who would make custom designed candies made to look like what the kids asked for. Hirato was with a couple of people, in the sand box making sculptures. Hirato was trying to replicate the house of his dreams with thousands of grains of sand. Before he could finish, his parents dragged him away to meet his family. Hirato did not pay attention to any of the strange faces. He simply said, “nice to meet you” like he was supposed to and shook everyone hand. Hirato’s mind was elsewhere. At the end of the endless line of relatives there was a man with unmistakable blue hair. He was no longer wearing his black robe and his swords were gone. Hirato stared at him for a while before walking up to approach him. Hirato tried to talk to him, however he didn’t seem to hear. Hirato went to tug at his pants, to get his attention, but before he could the line dispersed and he lost sight of him. Hirato looked for him (much to the confusion of everyone else) for twenty minutes or so, but never did find him. He eventually gave up and went back to the ever so thrilling sand castle he wanted to make.

A week or so later, Hirato went to his first day of kindergarten. His parents decided to enroll him early as to better nurture his high intelligence. As soon as his parents dropped him off Hirato noticed the most amazing thing. There was a pool roughly six feet deep. Hirato didn’t to care about the water, however the strangest things were inside it. There were many orange and white fish swimming around, ever so majestically. Naturally, Hirato tried to catch one. He jumped into the pool and proceeded to sink towards the nearest fish. He lunged out at it but wasn’t able to grab a hold. Annoyed slightly, Hirato watched the fishes’ movements. He decided that the best course of action would be to wait until they were in a large group. Then he would reach for one. “They can’t all get away,” Hirato thought. He waited until the perfect moment. Right as three large fish were next to each other, Hirato lunged out. “I did it!” Hirato thought as he examined the orange and white fish now firmly between his small hands. Now that his goal was accomplished, he finally noticed the exasperated shouts coming from above the water. Before he could make out what they were saying, his hearing started to fade away. The pool that was once full of colorful fish now was fading away. He felt an arm grab him, but it was too late, everything went black; he was dead.

He looked up. The person now holding his arm was wearing a black robe. He had bright blue hair, and a strange tattoo of an alchemist’s circle on the side of his neck. Before Hirato could even think of what was going on, he felt a slight bump on his head and all went black once again.

The Rukongai Arc:
The next thing he knew, Hirato was in a completely different place. The first thing he noticed was that he was no longer under water, and that he was in a new place, one thtat he had not seen before. The second thing he noticed as that the fish he had worked so hard to catch was now gone. Hioto almost started to cry, but before he could, he saw all the interesting people around him. He stumbled to his feet and started to walk over to what seemed like an entrance. There was a sign on the top of it, but being three he couldn’t read it. He tugged on the nearest “big kid’s” hand to get his attention and asked, “What does that say”. The man glanced down and said, “that over there is the 75th district of western rukongai. Good luck”. Before Hirato could respond, the man was gone and Hirato was alone.

A week and a half after he had arrived, a riot broke out. The residents of the 75th Rukongai were fighting with the residents of the 74th district to try and get some of their food. Hirato noticed that the market, which was usually heavily populated, was empty. Rather then wondering where everyone was, Hirato decided to eat all the food he could find. He was already about to pass out from starvation, so he ate the first thing he could find a single loaf of bread, two rat looking strips of meat and some sort of soup. It was the best food Hirato could remember eating. Unfortunately, before he could finish, a large looking, hulk of a man walked up to the small and defenseless child. Even though most people would run away from something this frightening, Hirato paid no attention whatsoever to the fist racing towards the side of his head; Hirato just kept on eating. Before the fist and face collided a mysterious man appeared out of nowhere. “Bakuto number one restrain”. Hirato’s watched with amazement as the giant fell down face first, arms behind his back, as if some invisible force was restraining him.

“How did you do that?” Hirato exclaimed. Before the shinigami could even respond, Hirato barraged him with a plethora of additional questions. “What is holding him down?”, “Why are you here?”, “What are yo…” The shinigami cut him off before anything else was said. “I restrained him with something called bakuto. It is a type of spell that’s purpose revolves around binding. Almost all shinigami can do this.”
“And what is that,” Hirato questioned.
“What is what,” the shinigami replied.
“A shinigami?”
A slight chuckle escaped the shinigami’s mouth. “I’ve never had to explain this before. Shinigami are the personification of death. Our job is to send spirits to the Soul Society (the afterlife) in order to maintain a balance of souls between it and the material world, and to exorcise evil spirits, called hollows. We live in the Seireitei, which is near the first district of the Rukongai and maintain order in the Soul Society. We have abilities beyond the normal spirits.” Realizing that he had neglected the riot going on behind him, the shinigami said his goodbyes and with a burst of shunpo was off.

Hirato watched in amazement as the Shinigami quickly stopped the riot and returned everything to normal. It was at this moment that Hirato decided that he would become a shinigami.

The Exodus Arc:
It took Hirato a day to figure out just how he was going to become a shinigami. Hirato slowly walked from the 75th district to the 1st district of western rukongai. This took him around 20 years (mostly due to his slow pace and ability to be distracted by almost everything). On the way there, not much eventful happened; however, there is one story that is worth mentioning.

Hirato was waking through the 50th district of Western Rukongai. There were two food stalls to his left, a couple of broken shacks to this right. He was better at walking now, and knew how to blend in. Everything seemed in order; he would walk through this one just like he had the past twenty-five. Things didn’t go how they were supposed to though. A tall boy, around fifteen, suddenly started to spasm in the middle of the road. At first, Hirato paid no attention to this poor boy as he had already seen many pass out before. This time was different though. Suddenly the boy threw up a white substance. A white mask started to form. As if his body couldn’t handle the strain of what happening, the soul started to twitch until it collapsed on itself. Suddenly, a small amount of reitsu shot out where the body used to be. Everyone except Hirato was knocked down by this sudden release of energy. A strange brown creature, that Hirato thought looked much like a “little Godzilla” seemed to appear where the body once was. This thing has a big white mask that had the shape of the face of a hawk, but a texture like crispy bacon. Hirato naturally walked closer to this creature, to get a better look at whatever was happening. Hirato walked up, to the creature, which now seemed to be charging a ball of blue energy in its mouth. Hirato felt a dark pressure building up the closer he got to the being, but he didn’t care. He just kept walking closer. Hirato was only a foot away when the hollow was ready to fire his cero. Suddenly, before Hirato had the chance to dodge, a blue light erupted from the Hollow’s mouth. Before it traveled far however, a wave of purple energy overpowered the blast, causing a burst powerful enough to send Hirato flying backwards into the shacks, completely destroying them and knocking Hirato out.

When he woke up everything was different. The creature that had been right in font of him was now a smear on the floor. He got up, and realized that he was lying in what used to be a shack. The stalls were completely destroyed, and whoever shot the blast of purple energy was gone. Hirato, walked on to the next district, still determined to become a shinigami, but the man who transformed into that strange creature never left his mind.

The Shinigami Academy:
As he walked through the gate into the Seireitei Hirato was amazed by the massive size of the wall now around him. The guy who had let him in was massive, but not enough out of the ordinary to spark Hirato’s attention. Hirato almost immediately enrolled in the shinigami academy. Hirato begged to be allowed in, but he kept being denied. After trying and failing to get accepted three times, Hirato exploded. A blue aura appeared around him. “Reach for me” he heard, as two katana started to form. Red spirit ribbons started to form around him as he grabbed for the top sword. He sheathed the sword and charged at the instructor. The instructor, taken by surprise, barely had time to parry the blow. After this incident, Hirato was allowed to enroll in the academy without any further questioning.

Hirato had a very interesting time in the Academy. He was constantly reprimanded for not paying attention to what the instructors had to say, however at the same time he showed amazing feats in Kido and Zenjutsu, especially considering his age. He always got the highest marks in his classes and had a small amount of infamy, considered by some to be the next child genius. When even the oldest students had trouble with kido above level 20, Hirato was able to fully cast a level 30 kido (with incantation of course) and harness all of its power. Along with all of this, Hirato had an amazing amount of Reiryoku and therefore didn’t tire out nearly as fast as the other students. He was both revered and envied by his classmates.

During the end of his first year at the academy his laid back attitude towards his prowess finally caught up with him. An eighth year student, who was the best student in the academy before Hirato showed up, couldn’t stand that he was being showed up by a child. After class one day, he grabbed Hirato and threw him to the ground. “You must think that you are really hot s***, little child.” He said. Hirato simply got up, completely ignored him, and started to walk away. This infuriated the other shinigami. He drew his Zanpaktou. “Lets fight, you and me, right now.” Hirato kept on walking, as if nobody had said anything at all. The shinigami finally snapped. He charged at Hirato. Hirato was feeling pretty confident, but he underestimated his opponent. He was barely able to draw one of his swords before the shinigami was on top of him. The shinigami slashed, Hirato sidestepped out of the way and drew his other sword.

The shinigami was obviously stronger the Hirato and tried to overpower him. He swung at Hirato only to be blocked. He put all his power into his next slash, Hirato tried to block, but his Zanpackou shattered. Hirato tried to slash with his other blade, but he didn’t have time. The shinigami’s fist collided with Hirato’s chest, knocking the wind out of him. The shinigami chanted, “Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini!! Look upon yourself with horror and then claw out your own throat! Bakuto number 9, strike!” Hirato was stuck. He could only watch, half in horror, half in disbelief as this vile shinigami walked up to him, prepared to kill.

Suddenly, as if out of nowhere, Hirato heard a voice. “Call upon us, we can give you the power you need.” Hirato thought, “Okay, I'm calling for you. Come and help me… preferable now, as in… well I don’t know, maybe before this guy KILLS me.”
“Calm down, the voices (he could now notice two) said. Just say our name. That’s all you have to do, say our name.” Hirato finally understood. “Envenom, Ryu Doku!” he shouted. A red aura emanated from Hirato. With a small red burst, the binding spell was broken. Where Hirato’s Zanpactou once were, two claw like weapons now resided. Hirato was so amazed and interested in his shikai, he forgot about the fight he was currently in. He walked away to a more secluded area and meditated trying to find out the abilities within his Shikai. This left a scared, angry shinigami behind, who now knew that he was powerless to fight against Hiroto.

Hirato graduated from the Shinigami Academy only a year and a half later, being among the youngest to graduate from the academy. Even though he graduated early, he was still the most powerful shinigami at the academy.

The Shinigami Arc:
Straight out of the academy, Hirato was put into the 7th division as the sixth seat. He did not train often, however when he did, he progressed rapidly. His Captain would often force him into training, wanting his division to be as strong as possible. Due to this forced training, Hirato started to surpass the seats above him. Many years later he finally reached his desired goal of third seat. He was 90 years old at this point.

Only two weeks after Hirato’s promotion his vice captain approached him. He was assigned a mission, but didn’t feel like he could do that alone. Hirato was reluctant to help him at first, but eventually realized that he didn’t have a choice. They went into the Senkaimon and traveled into the world of the living.

The city they traveled to was infested with hollows. There were hundreds of low level hollows, a few Gillian and an Adjuncas who seemed to be leading the operations. “You take care of the trash, I’ll get the big one,” the liutennant told Hirato. With a sigh of exasperation Hirato agreed and started destroying the low level hollows. With squick bursts of shunpo he made quick work of all of them, killing most with a single slash. Before long he moved to the Gillian. These were more of a challenge. “Hadou number four, White Lightning!” he shouted. A blast shot out of his left index finger and directly hit one of the Gillian in the mask. It was not strong enough to pierce through, but the force knocked the hollow over, immobilizing it. Using shunpo he appeared right over the now fallen hollow’s face. He unsheathed his second zanpaktou and drove both of them right into his face. The mask shattered and the rest of the body was not far behind. The first Gillian had fallen.

The next two Gillian essentially killed each other. Hirato jumped in-between each of them. They both, almost simultaneously fired off a cero. Hirato dodged, allowing each cero to hit the opposite Gillian. “Dumb Asses,” Hirato thought. They were both killed in the blast. “Only one more to go,” Hirato thought. He looked up and noticed that this Gillian was different. Its mask didn’t resemble the average Gillian; it looked more like a hockey mask. This hollow was much more of a challenge for Hirato. Hirato swung, but this one was able to dodge.

Hirato used his shunpo to get behind the hollow. “Hadou number 11, bound lightning,” he shouted. As he felt the lightning pulse into his swords, he thrust them into the body of the menos. The hollow reeled in pain, but managed to keep it together. The menos then turned around and fired a bright blue cero at Hirato. Hirato didn’t have time to dodge; he held up his zanpaktou and channeled all of his reitsu into them, hoping it would be enough to block the blow. The cero and the reitsu collided, it took almost all that Hirato had to block the cero and reflect it down into the ground. Hirato had no other choice. He was getting tired, and didn’t want to fight much longer. He held his Zanpaktou, blade facing down, and whispered, “Envenom, Ryu Doku.” With a burst of red reitsu, his katana turned into two claw like weapons. Not wanting to waste any time, Hirato shot the bades at the mask of the hollow. Once he saw them sink into the menos’s face, he ran up next to him. He gathered his reitsu in the spaces where the blades used to be and punched the mask with all his might. The mask shattered, destroying the hollow.

After his work was done, he decided to see how the lieutenant was doing. Hirato did not expect to see his superior getting pummeled to a pulp by a small hawk looking menos. Hirato hesitated for a second, debating if it was worth the effort to go and help. He eventually decided to help his lieutenant because if he died, Hirato would have to fight the hollow alone. The hawk looking hollow opened his beak and started to charge a cero. Hirato took this opportunity to get behind him. Hirato reformed Ryu Doku’s blades and stabed the adjuncas. He held the blades of his left claw in and managed to inject him with six doses of Shibre Doku. He then slashed with his right claw. The hollow reeled in pain, but still managed to fire off his cero. The weakened lieutenant was too tired to block. The blue cero hit him head on.

The hollow turned around, all his attention on Hirato. He bull rushed at him. Hirato easily sidestepped the slowed hollow. He fired a barrage of blades at the hollow, eviscerating his back. The hollow screamed. Hirato decided to end it. He whispered, “Ye lord! Mask of flesh and bone, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Truth and temperance, upon this sinless wall of dreams unleash but slightly the wrath of your claws. Hadou 34, Blue Fire, Crash Down.” The burst of blue energy that followed completely destroyed the menos. Hirato went down to his lieutenant, who was as good as dead. He looked at the charred broken body of his superior and asked, “Will you be okay.”

He went straight back to the soul society with the news, the 7th division did not handle the loss very well. Amidst all of the sorrow and confusion (after all the third seat lived while the vice captain did not), Hirato was chosen to take his place.

RP Sample:
It was just another cold and lonely night. The night sky was as black as the uncomfortable robe he was required to wear. He felt like taking a walk. Hirato jumped off the 7th squad barracks and with a burst of shunpo was off. He sped through the winding roads of the seireitei. It was quiet. Not an ominous quiet, but a tranquil silence. He liked this silence; there was nothing to distract him from his thoughts. He took a sharp left and went through the north gate to the rukongai. “Why are the gate guardians always so weak?” he thought to himself. Anyone who expected to break into the seireitei would have no difficulty getting through any of the four gates. Hirato made a right, suddenly wanting to go to the eastern districts. “Its always fun there,” he said aloud, almost as if he wanted someone to hear him. With a burst of shunpo he appeared, at the entrance to the second district. Even though it was dark, this district was full of life. He looked at all the houses; they all were lit. Curious as to what other people do this late at night, he decided to get a better look. He silently walked up to the window of the biggest house he could find. “Bakuto number 26, Kyokko,” he whispered. Knowing that he was now invisible, he looked into the house. There was a family of sorts; there were three kids, what seemed to be a grandfather, and an older boy who must have been 20 years old. They were all around a fireplace, and were talking about something that must have been funny as the kids were dyeing of laughter. Hirato stuck his head into through the window to better hear what they were saying. Once his head was in, he looked to the right. There was a staircase that went downwards, most likely to a basement. Curious Hirato tiptoed down, hoping to find something interesting inside. He made his way down undetected, only to find out that it was just a simple empty basement. Disappointed, Hirato trudged back up the stairs, forgetting that he was in someone else's home. His foot slammed onto the top stair just as the kido wore off. The entire family simultaneously turned around to see what had caused the noise. They looked at Hirato with an expression that was in-between horror and confusion. Before they could even comprehend what had just happened, Hirato disappeared, his cloak blending in perfectly with the dark night sky.

First things first.

1. You should be a bit older 150-200 if you wanna be a young vice captain.
2. Your character shouldn't know about vizards at all, but you may have a limited knowlege of arrancar.

3.

This poison has such a delay that poison will remain dormant for 3 posts. After that amount of time (that the poison has sufficiently spread to the brain) the poison will activate, impairing the subject’s senses. The infected will now have a 15 second delay on everything it sees, feels, hears, smells or senses. This effect is short lived however as it only takes the brain two posts worth of time to adapt, and nullify Gensoku Doku’s effects.

15 seconds is way too long in combat. Just say that it slows their perception by enough to throw off their attacks and defenses.

4.

Technique Name: Teishi Doku.
Technique Type: Poison
Release: Shikai
Description: Tenshi Doku is the poison created when Gensoku Doku or Shibre Doku is infused with a large amount of reitsu. Teshi Doku is once again a delayed poison. It remains dormant in the subject until enough is present for the full effects to occur(12 doses, four slashes). Once Tenshi Doku is activated the infected looses most of his ability to form and use reitsu. People with lieutenant level reitsu and below loose their ability to release their Zanpaktou (arrancar cannot resurrect) and cannot cast kido above level 25. Captain level shinigami can release their Shikai only, and can cast kido level 45 and below. Espada can resurrect, however they cannot use any abilities that require reitsu more then that of a level 45 kido.

Due to the large amount of reitsu needed to create this poison, Hirato can only make 15 doses of it before becoming noticeably fatigued. Due to this, Hirato never uses this in combination with his blade shot technique.

As an alternitive to slashing the opponent four times, Hirato can inject the required amount of poison into his opponent by stabiing Ryu Doku into him and holding it there for three whole seconds. (four doses a second are injected)

Save this extremely powerful poison for Bankai.

fixed. Since i am weakening the effects could i lower the time that it is dormant for (as three posts is quite a while)

Save this extremely powerful poison for Bankai.Fixed, however considering if i miss twice while using this poison the enemy cannot contract it i didn't think that it would be that over powered.

I also changed a little on shibre doku.

You may reduce the cooldown to 2 posts.

And you also need Arthas' permission to become his vice captain, so shoot him a PM asap.

Wow, completely forgot about External Purgatory's character.

Just saw that taichou was no longer a vaizard and thought that that meant there was an open spot. I'll edit in a second.

Edit: just checked the roster and realized that only one hidden vizard is currently signed up. Just making sure that we are on the same page here.
